It's natural to get crushes on teachers, and for teachers to get crushes on students.  But as long as it remains a crush, and you don't do anything about it, you can continue on flirting.

But yeah, don't do it.  You spend a lot of time with this instructor, but in only one (professional) context.  You don't know her.

Basically, it's a low-percentage shot, with a lot of bad things that can come out of it.

Then again, while I haven't made exactly this mistake, I have made ones in analogous cases, and at the time, nobody could have stopped me.  So just remember that when we're saying "Don't do it", it's because we've been there.  Acknowledge it, and cheerfully go and ruin your life.

Oh sweet jesus, don't say a goldanged thing. You'll screw up a friendship, mess up your licensing, and in general you'll die of embarrasment.

Whatever you think you're reading, you are WRONG! Keep telling yourself this right up until she puts her hand down your pants, and then, and ONLY THEN, start to wonder whether or not your original thoughts were correct.

Gotta go with the wise words of chairboy, here. A lot of women are friendly, and have no idea they are turning you on. She'll be surprised and you'll both be embarrassed if you make a play for her now.

Get the license, keep your mind on the task at hand. As soon as you get your license, though, go for it! :)

I don't believe it's a great idea to have anything other than a professional relationship with an instructor. It can cause a conflict of interest and affect the objectivity of the training you may receive.

In fact I would consider getting another instructor. You may be thinking too much about her and not learning to fly safely.

Yeah she flirts. Women like to be liked. They like the attention. They will fish for it. They may show interest to get attention while knowing at the same time you are never going to get a shot at the title.

Is anyone else afraid of a lovesick alcholic spending time staring down his instructors blouse when he should be worried about flying?

Mia-

Please let me know which airline you eventually go to work for.

Thanks.:D

Giving advice is probably about as useful as pissing in the wind. The trouser snake always wins in the end.  I'd say go for it, you only live once and at worst you'll have either a really crappy or a really cool story to tell someday.

Just cop that feel while she's on the controls...this way you can get your rocks off until she trims out the plane.
