Quote
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat who opposes the effort to recall Gov. Gray Davis, said of the reported comment, "I think it's appalling."

"Your personal behavior does affect you in public office," Feinstein said on NBC's "Today" show Friday. "I like to believe and hope that we elect the best among us, not some of the least among us."

(in case you can't get the comcast link the same AP story is on Fox - verbatim as far as I can tell after a quick scan - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,98982,00.html )

ROFL ROFL ROFL

And where was the oh so upstanding Ms. Feinstein when the little matter of the previous presidents personal perfedy while "on the job" so to speak became news?

MY GOD, hypocrisy has always been rampant in politics, but never THIS OBVIOUS, at least not to me.  (well, maybe with the exception of Newt)

This is getting pretty damn funny.  And it's not Arnold that the Dems are making look foolish.  Is this really the best that they can do?  Anyone else notice that they're having to abandon all of their typical platforms because they involve spending more money and that just won't work right now... so instead they spend all of their time trying to convince the world how evil Arnold is?

Arnold is being Arnold... win or lose my perspective hasn't been changed.  The California Democratic party is digging a hole they may not soon climb out of.

Yea Dianne is almost OK, certainly she is a fantastic senator compared to Barbara Boxer...

I was wondering when they would start calling him a nazi hitler lover - I mean he has a german accent - he must be evil...

Pretty desperate. :)

Well, yep.  I lumped.  did more google searching to see if it was merely an after impeachment CYA, but found quotes like this:

But her comments paled in comparison with that of fellow Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who said her faith in Clinton was "shattered" by the president's admission.

Let me explain why I believe censure of the President is the right response to this. I hope that the errors of the House are not repeated, and we end up with a partisan vote and outcome, and no final statement that the conduct involved here was indeed serious and the President’s actions wrong.

While it does not represent an immediate danger to the security and stability of the nation, the President’s behavior was immoral, deplorable, and indefensible. It sent the wrong message to the nation and our children. I, and many of my Senate colleagues, on both sides of the aisle, believe that the President’s actions merit strong condemnation and censure, and that there should be a formal means for senators and the Senate to express this condemnation. I would like at this point to particularly thank Sen. Bennett, who shares this view with me and who has been my staunch ally in this effort.

I apologize to Ms. Feinstein.
