I agree. There is no good reason to kill chutes...

Well, ok, there is. Nothing better than a chute kill followed by a whine on channel 1. Ok, killing the chute of a squaddie during the TOD is even better, but this makes my day:

BTW, just imagine they are part of the Palestinian Suicide Airborne Brigade. Why else would they blow up when you shoot 'em?

Whining about chute shooting is almost (though not quite) as bad as whining about HOs. He will be flogged and his chutes soaked in battery acid.

When we have the ability to say, pick up a downed pilot with a GV or a C-47, and bring them back to a base, then I would possibly be upset about being Chute shot.. But now..Who cares..
The ultimate pissoff is Being ganged 2 vs 1, surviving, only to also shoot the Chutes of the gangers.. That really gets the text buffer flowing....

I'll give up all E, turn off of a turnfight, even leave a wingman hanging to kill a chute. In fact, when I fly with Rude or any of the BKs we race each other to "off" the chutes of pilots who hate to be virtually killed.

Plus . .they blow up. I mean if you don't wanna be killed, why bail out with all of the explosives?

You're right, while killing chutes is important, stealing kills is even more so.

When I climb up to a bomber and the guy bails before I even shoot him then I shoot his chute even if I have to auger to do it.

If I get shot down and Im over enemy territory I dont bail. I dont know if its true but giving up a kill and then getting captured doesnt sit right with me. One life one death. So ride it in baby!

If I get shot down over friendly area and the guy that got me is already dead then I bail. That doesnt hurt your k/d even.

Chutes that are walking around our field get shot.

If Im bored or I felt like the guy was a dweeb or not very likeable I shoot his chute. Its a statement so sue me.

If Im in the middle of a furball and I see a chute almost down to the ground I have to run to it and kill the guy. Its a compulsion that the meds dont cure but further treatment might.

Guys that pull the rip cord at 30k get to ride it down. I might be waiting when he gets below 1k if I can arrange it.

your joking me right, i mean whats the big deal if you landed after bailing out, or get shot down outta the sky... it doesnt make a differance in pointes or anything i mean who cares if you get shot down or not from a chute shooter
