IMHO there should be an award for most chutes shot each tour, say 100 perks! Oh, and he who gets shot down by the most chutes gets all perks erased!

The chute shooters have their day made when someone whines about it. But what's even better is when you bail, and leave pulling the ripcord to the last second. Chute shooter comes in low, loses it, and crashes - LOL! I've got a few kills to my credit in plane type "chute".

Otherwise, chute-shooting is the tip of the AH dweebery iceberg. I could also say that it's ungentlemanly, but that cuts no ice at all in this community.

My attitude is - let the guy waste his ammo if he wants.

I remember reading about the honor that many pilots reported, either after shooting down, or being shot down and the salutes exchanged. If I am one on one out in the middle of nowhere and I get the upper hand, therer is no way I would shoot the chute. If there is a furball going on and an enemy chute is over our airbase giving check 6 calls and can report on the battle, he is toast.

I only kill the dweebs wich are about 99.9% of them.

The ones that opened their chutes above 5K i let live btw.

Your aurgument holds no water for the "humanity" of shooting chutes. Not when a majority of people in this game uses ACM to increase their kill ratio.

How honourable is it to vulch a 262(or any other plane) just taking off, or landing, and you know your laughing like a madman because you just got the "dweeb"......Or how about a "rope-a-dope"? Or even doing the one thing that most pilots did in WWII and "sneak" up behind the guy? How "honourable" is that? What difference is there?

If this game was about "honourable" then everyone should fly the same plane, go to the same alt and cold pass the first turn.......

So get off the "stupid" question of chute shooting and come over and vulch me like a good Honourable person...........

You do it because if you not he will try to kill you..... we are still fighting
We are talking about unammed pilot that have bailed from damaged plane. I'm not talking about troops or goon that going to take your base or any other type of fight when you have an advantage - that is fight. But when we talking about bailed pilot.... it is little bit different..... you got him - you was better - let him get to the ground safely.
To all that talking about that this is just a game. But we still have no Nazi Symbols - swastika on LW planes in AH why? Is it just a game? There is things we should do and feel them even playing game.

The last part is what kinda perks my curiousity, Esk. Have we an Israeli campaigning to put the swastika in AH? And how this supports a plea to stop the "senseless and brutal virtual violence of virtually killing players in their virtual chutes instead of in their virtual planes" is lost on me.

still doesnt hold water ------still a combatant(though hes swingin in the breeze) ----still worth points (against him)--and usually not my kill thats in a chute------

Maybe we shouldnt shoot the troops coming in over a town in their chutes cause they are just doing their jobs and wont fly a plane when they land........

This game like life isnt fair -----otherwise I would NEVER get shot down.......so leave the choice up to the individual to make.......not a UN sounding "vote"...

I personaly do not choose to shoot them --likewise I dont care if someone else does.... In America we call that freedom of chose, since it is a "non" matter. What you decide to call "honourable" in this matter is not aplicable either....
