I'd like to pass on a couple of observations I have made in the past few days about scoring kills, or the lack of. I'm not complaining, not to much anyway, but since HTC actually reads its forums and acts on the info provided in them, I thought this would be a chance to voice your thoughts on the current way kills are being awarded.
Last night f6 was without ack and being vultched by one enemy. I thought this looked like it would be a fun time so I hopped in a niki and ran straight now the runway. I got vulched and the attacker was awarded the kill. Good so far. I replaned and fired up the niki again. This time I wasn't going to be as easy a target as last time so as soon as I powered up I hit full rudder and turned off the runway. I checked my 6 view to see where the enemy was and decided my turn on the runway worked. I went back to front view just in time to read the graffiti on the wall of the building I was about to hit. I of course died instantly and was feeling a bit foolish. What I didn't understand was when I died the enemy was awarded the kill even though he had never fired a shot at me. It wasn't a big deal really, I thought about it and figured it must be some code to prevent pilots from augering to avoid awarding someone a kill. So, it appears to me that if you do something dumb and auger even though you aren't in a fight at the moment, nor have you been pinged at all, the nearest enemy is going to get the kill whether he deserves it or not. I was on the receiving end as well later on. I was flying low near ammo dump or something with ack when enemy flew to close and ack killed him. I was awarded the kill but I never even shot at the guy.
In a later sortie over f1 I completely shot the tail off of a F4U. We both had some alt so he didn't bail right away. After shooting the F4 I banked left right into a hail storm of tracers and was killed. I must have taken one between the eyes. Well since I was now dead but the F4U pilot had not bailed yet, I did not get the kill even though there was no doubt he was a gonner and there was no doubt I was the one who killed him.
One last item which prompted me to write this. Tonight I blasted the right wing off yet another F4U. I was to close and flew through what was left of the plane and got myself killed. Well guess what, I died right away and the F4U pilot was falling to earth in a plane with no wings but the F4U pilot was awarded a kill for me plowing into him and I of course got none.

So guys, what do you think about the current awarding of kills? I look forward to your replies.
