No such post from me!

HTC has stated that Macs aren't ruled out forever, only for the time being. There is always the possibility of the Mac version, but when...?

Pyro:
"There are currently no plans for a Mac version. I won't close the door on the possibility, WB went a good while before they had one. But at this stage, we just cannot justify the costs of doing that. What happens if and when we get out of the woods is something we'll have to analyze at that time.

Solution: get $500 and buy an inexpensive PC - heck you can even reuse your Mac monitor

I know a lot of Mac guys that would like to try this sim.  The progress of WB Mac versions has been laughable, and WWIIOL doesn't look to offer much in the way of 24/7 furball action.

I agree that they should buy a PC, but different people have different priorities.  For some people the computer is more than a toy.  I.e. purchasing decisions are driven by more than "what games can I play on it."  A foreign concept to me, but certainly a reasonable one.

I'm sure if HTC can afford to do it, they'll do it.  But right now I have the feeling they are trying to get the PC version where they want it, and get some return on investment from their efforts, then they might turn their minds to expanding their product line.

If you have a powerful Mac, you might be able to get one of those PC emulator programs to work.  They also make add-on cards using a PC processor that make use your Mac's existing ram, v card, h drive, etc.  One in particular that I know of is called "Orange PC."

Then again, PC's aren't that expensive anymore...

The main problem (IMO of course   ) with HTC doing a Mac version is that they only have 6 people.  Since HT does almost all of the coding, AH would take twice as long to make updates since HT would have to write both versions at the same time.

Seal, I do hope they develop a MAC version in the future. Honest.

BTW, I noticed your Squadron patch is from the 43 Squadron. I thought they were the "Fighting noodles" ?  Is the "British Bulldogs" your squad motto or did the real 43 change it in real life?
I love a Hurricane ride in an early Afrika Desert airwar scenario!

The real squadron are called 43 Sqn RAF 'The fighting noodles' but my wb squadron is part of the British Bulldog wing, therefore we have "British Bulldogs" =)
