The code was stolen and posted to Usenet. They should fire their network admin for being so stupid as to expose any dev systems to the Internet anyways.

The SOURCE CODE was leaked, not the beta, and no gaming news sites have reported anything about it being moved to next year.

http://www.planethalflife.com states that the delay is a 'rumor' and has yet to be officially announced by Valve. I wouldnt doubt it being delayed though... Valve has a habit of delaying software indefinately for undisclosed reasons... anyone remember Team Fortress 2?

Saur, RO = Red Orchestra correct? Is that a mod for UT2003 or 2004? Err, 2004 isnt even out yet is it?

I took a peak at it a few days ago and I'm really liking the looks of it.

Oct - Yes. The first open Beta of Red Orchestra is due out on the 10th. The mod is/will be directly compatible with both UT2003 and UT2004. UT2004 will simply add the ability to add future features which would be impossible to do with UT2003.

The only reason I bought UT2003 was for RO ($19.99 at EBGames.com)

Thinking I'm going to do the same... or, well I'll get it from a friend.

I heard that sound bite someone had posted a month ago.... incredible bullet and gun sounds. Sound quality makes up half the greatness of a game IMO.

I also just picked up UT2003 for RO. Actually UT2003 is not too bad for a fast-paced shoot-em-up. Graphics are real nice and smooth fps on my 9500 Pro. I hope RO really takes advantage of the UT2003 engine.

only problem with UT2003 is no one is playing.. all servers are bots.. The Red Orchestra coming out Friday is a good reason to reinstall that game.
