So i log onto festerma today, figure i need something to do after takin a 262 to the string of GV bases to kill heavy jabo (heh) and/or other assorted dweebs, and i see an enemy dot deep in friend territory, but not heading for the HQ.

I take off in a fully laden 109G10 a few fields ahead, climb to 20k.. see the dot higher.. oops! Climb to 25k.. the dot hits a city (strat city, not town) and veers towards his/hers homeland again.. i get in icon range and identify it as a B17, so i orbit around for a 3:00 approach.. Right after i begin my dive in the whole damn thing dissapears.. He must have alt-f4ed. I express my distast on my country channel cuz i wasnt in the mood for a flame war and log, rather pissed..

Climbed to 25k for the damned coward to disco himself like that.

Or lost his UDP. I would imagine he'd be upset at not getting a crack at downing a 109G10 for a bonus score.

That's just it, i had passed him at D1.8 or so and swooped in ffor a 9:00 3:00ish attack,, then puff, nothing to attack.

maybe if a fighter is within 3k of a group of buffs that alt-f4s the fighter should get the kill....

bug in formations where fatal damage is carried over to other buffs in the formation. Stuff like damaged engines use to effect all bombers but that bug got squashed. This bug however was never completely fixed.

well hes got 2 in the crosshair already, so im guessing the other warped into the center of the buffs once the guy got its control, and hence straight into the crosshair again....

Nope. I put ten canons directly into the pilot and continued to rake the fuselage all the way to the tail. If he had a gunner in there he'd be dead too.

P.S. His escort was useless to him.
