Did God say the punishment was over yet?

Why your language?  As has been pointed out, the US doesn't have an offical language.  Why not both predominent languages?

No official language in the United States? This is a waste of my time.

That's right, you don't have something like this...

From the Canadian Constition Act.

"Official Languages of Canada

16.    (1) English and French are the official languages of Canada and have equality of status and equal rights and privileges as to their use in all institutions of the Parliament and government of Canada "

"our language"

---

... it's the language of some strange people who live on a shrewed island and drink hot water with some kind of weed in it all the time.

BTW, don't get to excited about english being the predominant language (for international communication) at the moment - it was French (doesn't that hurt your ears) a couple of hundred years ago and Latin even before that. Hey - I see a pattern - we Euros ruled the planet since day one.

OTH, I am happy Switzerland never got into conquering - swissgerman would be just too *hard* to learn (or bear for that matter)! Oh yeah, and my small country has 4 (FOUR) official languages... :D
