Rush makes a comment about the "Media starving for a black QB to do well"....

So where was the outrage when Elton John declares on Letterman "If I had 6 months to live, I'd get a machine gun and hunt down the Papperatzi(sp)"

So, wheres the outrage on that comment?

Oh! Double standards..he's gay. He's forgiven. ;)

Thats nothing... have you heard the Cub's Baker's comments?  Youll find them on Bimmerforums.com in the off topic forum, Rip... with a side a Black Panther propaganda... thuroughly roasted by yours truely, of course.  :cool:

 He should have said BLACK papparatizi.  To want to gundown simply "papperatzi" isn't outrageuous as it fails to sinlge out any specific gender, religioun or race.

 Here.  To show you what I mean take whatshisname's intitial statement, ""Media starving for a black QB to do well" and simnply remove the racial slant and you have ""Media starving for a QB to do well".

 It becomes totally innocuous and  un-noteworthy.

 Not like what he has to say is noteworthy anyway so perhaps he deliberately said "black" to garner attention for himself.

the difference is that he's pissed based on the persons behavior, not race, religion, sex,.........

I  supose it could be said that it's not very cool to say anybody should be hunted down and killed but thats, what we do with terrorists, murderers, and what we ought to do with kiddie rapers (oops, now I've done it too).

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (Reuters) - Maryland's first lady was only joking when she said she would like to shoot pop star Britney Spears (news), but on Tuesday it was no longer a laughing matter.

Kendel Ehrlich, wife of the state's Republican Gov. Robert Ehrlich, had been criticizing what she views as the entertainment industry's negative influence on youth, during a domestic violence prevention conference last week in the city of Frederick.

"Really, if I had an opportunity to shoot Britney Spears, I think I would," Ehrlich laughingly told the audience, accusing the 21-year-old Grammy Award-nominated singer of exaggerating the importance of sex for young girls.

Funny thing is, that  is an old term, my parents used to use that term as in "Oooh, that Brian! I'd like to shoot him!"  against their own kids.  Nowadays, everyone is so fuccking PC and literal.

But whether or not Rush hit the nail on the head regarding the Medias need for a successful black QB (A true statement, just look at what a black player did for golf? It propelled it up in the ratings), they'll roast him because its outside the "whats allowed PC-wise" circle.
