I put together a table similar to the Fighter vs Fighter stats that shows total MA kill numbers.  There's also charts for each aircraft that plot them by tour.

Interesting.

The P-51 either has exactly a 1-1 kill ratio or you've got a bad line in your code somewhere.

P-51D     101222     101222     1.000

I also find it hard to believe the SBD-5 has a 4 to 1 kill ratio:
SBD-5     1388     322     4.297

You're misreading the charts.  If you are on the P-51D page, you are reading that plane's record against the planes listed.  The P-51D vs the P-51D has 101222 kills (will always be equal for every plane against itself).  The P-51D has 1388 kills and 322 deaths against the SBD-5.

Hope that clears it up.

But look at how that graph rises! If this keeps up, it'll be killing everything!

I think everything that has guns should be perked. The C-47 should be free, of course.

It'd be interesting to see a graph of the percentage of total kills each month in addition to the total kill numbers themselves.  I've noticed that the total kills tend to (predictably given the growth of AH) trend gradually upward for just about every plane.  As a percentage of the total kills however, I imagine the graph appears much more flat over time for most planes.

I wonder if there is any way to come up with a TOTAL SORTIES per plane figure?  That would be useful information in figuring out the real effect of the various planes, by comparing kills, deaths, and sortie figures.

It would also tell us which planes are more popular, although we can pretty much get that information intuitively in the MA, and by looking at the total kill figures.

Not today... I'm at work.  I can look at it this evening, but I don't have much stuff already set up for the CT.  I've never really ventured much into it since it's a rolling plane set and the usage numbers don't really tell you much other than what planes were allowed... and on a monthly basis as opposed to a map/map basis.

Good call DMF, the %age charts are much more informative than total kills.  Interesting to see that the most whined about planes (La7, P51D, Spit 9 and N1k) only get around 6% each of the total kills in the MA, nowhere near the Chog peak of around 18% that got it perked.  Sure wish people would stop and think about that before they open their whine-hole.  :)
