What about Russian vs Axis setup?
« on: October 10, 2003, 08:12:51 AM »
There are a lot of Pasific theatre of USAF vs IJAF,
There is lot of LW vs USAF+RAF (Early and Late plane set)

But there are almost no Eastern theatre.
What about this planeset (Maybe for Nieman terrain)

LW:
Ju-88, Ju-87
Bf110G-2
Bf109G-6, Bf109G-10
Fw190D-9, 190F-8
GVs
VVS:
Il-2
Yak 9U, Yak 9T
La7, La5
P-40E
And some other Bomber like A20 instead of Pe serias
GVs

don't miss this setup too.

I've enjoed a lot Pasic theaters but.......... Somtimes its better to do something different

there is, if i recall, a luftwobble vs. ruskie setup, but it hasn't been used in ages.  the plane setup was great, but the map, again if i recall, was kinda bad due to effects on frame rate.

if that could be fixed, i'd be all for it.  had a great time with it!

maybe kanttori should do his magic on that map and we could see what happens...

Ok I know but............
It is quite early setup - Hurri 2, 190A, 109g2
Yak 9T. La5
I'm taliking about later setup with La7 and Yak-9U, 109g10 and 190D
Finrus has some curious planeset of later planes with early like FM2 and Hurri I (!).

The Hungery Set up I ran had a late war Rus/German set up, it was a few months ago we ran it, but we do a lot of Fin/Rus on Kanttories excelent map's which have to a degree filled our east front fix neads for the most part, we certainly will see somthing along this line in the furtue again.

In the time i've been on aces (6-7 months) we've had a finn/russ type set-up with the ruskies vs. axis 3, maybe 4 times.

Just a comment there. We've had a lot more PTO lately, which is great in my opinion; but it'd be nice to see some other things again too. And don't take this as a negative; really. Its just a comment. I'll fly what I'm given here, its still 400 times better than the MA and I like it. :)

Yeah CT is much better (might be even more if there were more pilots at least 30-100).

Unfortunatly we can not make early Russian vs German planeset - we do not have I-16, LaGG3, Yak-1 etc... P-40 was not the most popular plane in VVS.
