Höhenjäger 15, Oktober Snap-Shot
Höhenjäger

12 February 1945

Luftwaffe -
Looking for top pilots to fly with Stabsschwarm JG-301 and new Focke Wulf TA-152. The Fatherland needs you to stop daylight bombing raids in order to buy time to roll out new wonder weapons that will win the war.

TA-152 will operate up to 40K

RAF -
486 Squadron has received their new Tempests and are requested to escort The Yanks to target. B17s from Sudbury will hit targets in Germany. Squadron leader suggests fighter sweeps like The Yanks are using against German fighters. Keep a look out for that new FW that's been seen over 35K

Tempests will operate up to 34K

US 8th Army Air Corps -
486th Bombardment Group is looking or top pilots and gunners for key mission into Hitler's front yard. Focke Wulf manufacturing is receiving parts from factories scattered around Germany. Two locations have been reported by OSS operatives and are embedded among textile manufacturing facilities. We need those hit in order to stop production of German aircraft manufacturing.

B17s will operate up to 28K

-Map - Germany
-B17s and Tempests will air-start at A 29 and form up
-Tempests may leave bombers in order to forward sweep
-DAR BAR radar
-TA 152s will hunt and destroy bomber formations

This is a guts and glory mission for both sides.

If you're afraid of heights stay away from this one !!!!!!

Full details will be posted 10-15

"B17s will operate up to 28K ... Tempests will operate up to 34K "

Oy!  At 20k and above it's a good thing that those B-17's are able to escort those Tempests and perhaps keep them from harm!

Oh good,

Well allowing the Tempests to operate at their RL altitude specifications and having them drop to alitudes that will increase their performance might provide us with a new series of whining about aircraft being too low? :rofl

Tempests just need to figure out the age old skill of bringing the TAs down low.

"Tempests just need to figure out the age old skill of bringing the TAs down low."

Ahh. But you can't forget the age old online MMPOG addage that he who climbs highest roolZ.  With nothing like a P-47D-R30 to counter  threaten them they'll remain impervious. It'll be a slaughter.

I just might make this one anyway!  I've only flown the TA about three times and it would be a hoot to use one in a feeding fenzy ;)

What are you a Russian Front tree top hugger?
:p

It's 1945 and the boys want altitude!!!

You air start at 30K, but can drop down to whatever you want.  There might be clouds and you might want the bombsites to work?
