Fighter Squadron has terrain that looks that good and the downside is that the terrains are small enough to fly across in 10 minutes.

Superflys picture is very pretty but if I had to choose between pretty scenery and a useful terrain size then I would take the terrain size. OTOH if Aces High can give us this scenery AND a large arena then Brilliant!

Wow, that looks awesome! Just the kind of terrain that I was hoping for. A furball in a valley like that would be fun indeed.

To aswage your fears of going across in 10 min, that is not the case, I flew from about the halfway point to a spot at the edge of the land mass and back in a C-47 and it took an hour and forty minutes. It would have taken approximately that or a little more to cross the entire map I beleive, side to side, now on a diagonal course...

I laughed, I cried, it was a cinematic masterpiece...

uh, I mean, it's an awesome look compared to Warbirds. I can live without it in the beta but would sure love some better eye candy in the full release

Nice work! So...if I squeak about sun flare next will you put that in too?

you guys are a**holes. over the dreem to keep my trusty old 233mmx for another year. where do i get the money from to buy me one of this new shiny machins that supposedly able to run this game.  damn you damn you. i don't wanna spend another 2000 Deutschmark. My Bike need a new Brake , same does my car. But on the other hand. Who need a motorcycle or a car when he can stay at home and play AH the whole day? but then where does the money come from to pay the crazy telephon bills ???? guess there is just one solution. i just know that you guys have these little rooms where you all store your sureplus money. so .... if you wanna get rid of it, maybee just to have another free closet for all the obsolete game boxes, send it to me. i tell you where to send it  ;-)

jaeger,

Don't throw your old system out quite yet.  There's an alpha tester who's gotten the sim sorta playable on a voodoo1 (yes, that's right, voodoo1) so you might be suprised at how it flies on your slower system.  There's also a guy with a pentium 200 who's trying to get it working.  He's getting poor framerates now, but I'm trying to convince him to try it with a 3dfx card instead of the ati card he's using.

Framerates at 640x480 are very similiar to those seen at 800x600 too, but the game looks so nice at 1024x768 I'm willing to take a little framerate hit to fly it there.
