Black Boxes

Getting black boxes around icons and seems to be anything written in game ie auto takeoff plane icons.
Also tracers are white boxes moving toward target.
Also getting a jitter or glimmer from the terrain particularly the trees.
Playing 1024x768 in 32bit

Same here, blocked icons and tracers and flame from guns is blocked. 109 has no crosses on wing.

What Catalyst drivers are you guys using?

Check the last 4 numbers in the driver version, using DXDIAG.  It should be 6378 or higher.  If not, then grab the Catalyst 3.7 drivers from ATI and try them.

GF3 here 64 megs 30.82 frame rates 20-25 average at everything maxed.

The text has a black box around it, the tracers are weird, 3cm is solid white the small cal tracers give white xs as they leave the gun, the flame out of the gun barrel is block white.

Ok, I have duplicated this.  The black poly where the text is and the plane ICONS are.

Im getting black boxs with my nvidia g- force ti 4600 as well skuzzy 25.43 drivers.
But on the other hand i am getting 45-78 FPS at 1600x1200 res with all the eye candy turned up.

3.7 cats 9700pro, black boxes around the icons.

Radeon 8500 series vid card with 512 MB RAM Athlon 1.5Ghz processor, all settings DEFAULT.

1) Black boxes around text
2) Horizon is black becoming lighter the higher the elevation.
3) Framerate on runway is 23ish (unplayable)
4) When I fired all guns on P51D framerate dropped to 8 (massively unplayable)
5) When I fired guns on P51D tracer fire was coming from position higher than me. NOT POSSIBLE. Felt like I was surrounded by .50 M2 AC guns... big cone around me. Only innermost tracers were firing from wing level.
6) Convergence button not working properly. Went to convergence and it put me in view 45 degrees left of the actual range. Do not like the range thing. Prefer the old interface that cute little bull's eye thing is neat but not the way it worked. Pilot to Plane Engineer set the convergence for all guns to 450 yards. Engineer to Pilot "yes, sir". The random "ohm mane padme ohm" stuff sucks.

I'm another one with the "Black Box Icons". I'm running at 1024x768 32 bit Unlimited FR. Texturing box is unchecked. In game setting are on full detail and i'm getting between 35 and 80 FPS. Planes dissapear when exploded (no explosion) but I assume thats normal.

ATI 9500 running latest Omega Drivers (based on ATI 3.8)

also in the video card selection - it is blank, does not list card where u select res/color bit

pretty low frame rates - settings maxed out

when lowered setting - wierd things happened like canopy half vanishes
