The community here is actually very accepting, as long as your first post is not bashing said community.

I think it's laughable that ANYONE from WWIIO has the nerve to go ANYWHERE  and talk about the character of the community.

Any hate that is directed at WWIIO is well earned AND I like most others here that were screwed over by CRS couldn't care less if you or anyone else are offended by our comments.

As was the norm on the WWIIO BBS when I was there I'd like to say a hearty "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!".
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

ra, IMO this is that character Zeroace from WWIIO who said he'd register under another handle and do exactly this. The telltales are the hysterical over use of exageration and the B movie quality acting to feign being a poor victim ....  blah blah, yaddy yadda.
That or all their fan boi's went to the same training class as Hardcase and Zeroace did.

But I'll can echo what  Mickey1992 was refering to.  The discussion started here by Vulcan wouldn't even have occured if not for the CRS employee fishing for volunteers from other sims, such as AH,  for a "promotional effort."    I challenge anyone to find anything as weak as that being done by any HTC employee, let alone an AH player.

Remember, Zeroace just came on to this BBS as a comercial for WW2OL which we confronted him as being inappropriate.  Then HE started to get defensive.  He more or less exposed what a lot of people saw as the mentality of the WW2OL gamer...and thus opened himself up to a lot of flames.  Did he deserve it?  Well, does WW2OL suck?

Mickey1992,
I fail to see where rafter has done or said anything in that thread that should set off the AH community.  All he has even HINTED at is a promotion for members of other Flight Sim communities.  Hardly any mention of AH was brought up untill the obvious hatred for WWIIOL was mentioned.

Yes, there were some comments made by Warpd, but what flight sim doesn't have it's "issues".  WWIIOL has its barn-door 109 rudder, IL2 has it's uberI-16's, and I'm sure AH has it's issues.

But I fail to see how a thread hinting at having a promotion for other sim pilots prompted the reaction it did.  It's not like rafter said "go steal players from other communities".  Nothing of the sort has ever been said by anyone AFIK.  Most players there are active in other sims, I don't see where the hatred comes from.

[edit]FYI, I am not ZeroAce or Hardcase.  You can find my posts on the WWIIOL forums uder the name Pesty.  I have no knowlege of what ZeroAce or Hardcase has done in the past, so if someone would kindly fill me in....

I don't get it...

Why is WWIIOL having a recruiting drive?

Don't great games usually sell themselves with very little promotion?

Why are paying players of WWIIOL so concerned about recruting new players to their game?

Are they having trouble finding people to fight? I thought WWIIOL had 10,000 subscribers..

The game looks pretty interesting, but I would not pay to play it because of the impression zeroace and hardcase made on this bbs awhile back. I'm sorry, but you don't walk into a competitors business with a sign saying come buy my product.

The comunity here is very accepting as long as you are not:

Republican or a Democrat, believe in religion (or not), say any game is better than Aces High, like the French, and believe Palestinians are humans.
