You clueless dolts. AHII Beta does not represent what it will be in it's final form.

The purpose of beta is not for players to evaulate AHII as a product. A beta's purpose is for Us to evaluate items that we wish tested.

The primary purpose of why we did this release was to find core problem issues. And we expected them to be there. People discussion simple things like all planes having the same tracers is just idodic and stupid. There are to many detail items to be written before desussing things at that level. But they are all based off a solid fondation, and thats what we are solidifing and testing at the moment.

If you wish to play a game, beta testing is not for you, especialy in the early stages.


If the best feed back from testing you can do amounts to "AHII Sucks", Well beta testing is not for you, and I would apreicate you don't take part in it.

If it's a beta of AH2 there should be some kind of game play beta tested.

This beta actually is a beta of the graphics engine AH2 is going to use.

The file name of AH2... is a bit misleading and might contribute to that confusion :p

It really is, a lot of good feedback has come from the Beta...but a  lot of "Gee I dont think I like AH2" threads are sprouting up too.

Pretty silly

I like it, so far, anxious to see how they improve things from here on in

For some of us that beta is almost unplayable due fps. I suppose graphic engine issues may be discovered and investigated with 10 trees or with 30 trees, so, can we have a beta release with less objects (not just less detailed ones)? I may be wrong, but I think the big impact is in the number of displayed objectcs no matter the res, I had same fps results at any resolution, from 640 to 1600.

Did you read the release news post?  Did you read the 2 sticky posts in the BETA Test forum?  How many places do we need to put what we are looking for in this BETA test?

Gameplay is irrelevant right now.

if your system cant handle a beta test or if your personality cant handle it then dont force yourself to suffer through it.

You arent missing out on anything.

I think that being an early beta its pretty exciting. Theres a reason why some companies have prolonged closed betas. Just posting complaints makes it hard filter out the noise to find the real issues.

I am no fan boi but its pretty obvious that some miss understand what a beta is.

Skuzzy could not have said any clearer what they wanted to cull in the form of feedback. They were looking for things that caused CTDs etc.

They are not interested in complaints about tracers at this point...which I am guilty of commenting on.

Just look at beta as a friendly assignment from HTC to help them make a better game for us. Equate it to volunteer work, and follow the bosses instructions.

The open beta of AH2 is now available for download. It's about 37 MB.

Aces High II Version 1.99 Open Beta

The Beta version of AH2 will install in a separate directory and can be launched from Start/Program Files/HTC/Aces High II. Installation of the Beta will not affect your existing Aces High install. The beta only supports offline play.

The purpose of this limited open beta version is to test core level functionality and performance across a wide spectrum of hardware configurations. We're interested in lockups, crashes, major rendering errors, and frame-rate. Please make your reports in the AH2 Beta bug forum on our message board. Please refrain from reporting minor bugs (like tracers or some gauges not displaying correctly) at this time. We'll be soliciting reports for those and gameplay issues in subsequent versions of the beta. When making reports please include your system specs.

It would be very beneficial to get the video card make/model/ram and driver version information as you report bugs. Thank you.
