What about adding  the ability to construct temp. Airfields?
Put in a extra load out "construction box" to be loaded into a C-47 or a M3, say 5 loads+5 loads of troops would construct the airfield and another 2 loads of troops make it operational?

First load of "construction" makes a marker on the ground for the other drops. Acks gets manned as the last drop of troops is done.

You couldīnt take a new plane from this field, only land and get it repaired, or supply it with the craft you land there. But before any other player could use "your" plane, they had to send a request to the supplying player or Squad. (like you send a request to gun). Once the supplying player/Squad gets offline, the stack is "free for all".

This would make it possible for Squads to man and operate a specific field. Anyone could land there and get repairs (change to a new plane, same as you landed). But to use another type, a request needed to be sent to the "CO" of that squad that buildt the Field (a CO would always be online, as anyone in the squad still remained online). The CO, could also "give" away the whole Field to another squad to man.

An automatic supply of GVs, to keep the defence up.

Interesting idea, but much too much trouble for too little gain. One goon dropping a refuelling point with one or two acks would be good. Perhaps it would be good for 10 refuels/resupply (q.v. vehicle resupply). Resupply should be fuel and ammo only, not bombs or dropped drop tanks. Remember that many planes in AH don't actually need tarmac runways. And once the ack is taken out, any country can use it.

Great idea, mabey a temperary, bombable runway at a remote vehicle spawn that can be built, repaired, destroied or potholed.

I'd like to see vehicle supplies work to refuel/arm aicraft as well as GV's.  Then goons with supplies could park a couple miles outside a base creating a temporary resupply point.

I like the idea of mobile bases. Maybe the game should start away from the front lines and build up. Maybe not. But if you could mobilize a force and suprise your enemy you just might win the war. Huh, i wonder if thats ever been done before.:D
