I could've climbed that hill in a Pinto.

But for some reason, I can't climb it in a tank. Sure, a panzer is an old tank, but it is a tank.I could've rollerblades up that hill with no shins or feet and my roller blades duck taped to me knees while dragging a very fat person behind me. The ground vehicles are too weak.'Nuff said.

Try moving a 25 ton vehicle uphill in high gear.

Historically, 45 degrees was a bout the average maximum angle of climb or descent for most main battle tanks, before either balance or power issues came to pass. 5th/6th are road gears, as 4th is on HT's.

Downshifting into lugging gears was standard for rough terrain and hills to prevent breakdowns.
