Hi all! I just made a new web page with my new engine sounds for AH. I'm not good with html but at least the files are there. I promise you that you will not be dissapointed.  All files are in stereo. Will continue to update each time I add a new wav.

fscott, these sound awesome, but I have a question. Do we just put these into the AH sound folder as is, or do we have to rename them with the plane type. I couldnt see any other files with specific plane type names. Hope you can help. Thanks again for the work

You must not have the AKWabbit update. I suggest you get those too.

You need to make a "plane type" directory in your aces high/sounds/ directory.

For instance, if you downloaded the P51D wavs simply install them to aceshigh/sounds/p51d, and there is no need to rename them. They should be the proper name.

Be sure you get the "plane type" directory correct. It has to be the EXACT model. So for the 102G2, your directory would be /109G2, and p47d30 would be /p47d30.

Glad you like em.

I concur, these are fantastic! I like the stereo effect. I would like to see the Yak-3 or the La5 if you have time. Thanks!

Fscott, I think I will keep the P47 sound. At first when we talked toghether I was a bit "disturbed" by it, but now I'm used to it and I enjoy it a lot

Sooooo, congratulation. BTW I have a P38 sound, it comes from SDOE, I can mail it to you if u want to post it. (Starter is great).

WTG fscott, I love the P-51 engine sound. I've only heard them from the outside, but I can imagine it'd sound like this on the inside. The P-47 is real good too, though I don't fly that as much due to the broken autrotrim.

Any chance of a P-38? I know it's not a popular plane, but it's my main ride for ground attack.

These sounds are Oh-Tay!!
Thought you had posted sounds for other planes? Can/will we be able to get those from the HTML?
You know, if you quit your day job you could probably just keep up with all the requests(I for one would be willing to pledge 1 case of "Dinty Moore Beef Stew" per month if ya would.

DR00, I still have them but they are not all in stereo so I won't post them until they are fixed. I won't be doing all planes, just the ones I can faithfully recreate.

Plans are F4U, all 109's, Yak3, zero, spits, and possibly the Hellcat when it's released. Not sure if there will be any new sounds with the 1.5 update.

Citabria has an excellent P38 sounds on the AH website.

Scott I couldent download the sounds  The server said couldent find requestet file or something)
Scott just a thought... what about putting sounds to preview in MP3 Format, and then have a zipped package for each plane to download for use in game? That would reduce server traffic a lot I think.

Grinbird, the files are there and there shouldn't be any trouble getting them. You may log directly into the main directory by going to http://corn555.tripod.com,  elaving out the sounds.html extension.

If you are usig Netscape you may have to right click on the file then select save to disk.

I am not good at html (obvious) so I wouldn't know how to put them into mp3.com format. ;(

fscott, I downloaded your 190A5 eng.wav a few days ago.. Now it's not on your site. That's fine cuz I already have it, and I think it's great! HOwever, I was wondering if you have an engstart and engoff wav? Because the current set I have are Wab's and they don't "mesh" really well.
Thanks!
