No software is needed. Simply go into your BIOS and slowly bump up the FSB of the motherboard. Do this in increments. Your results are entirely dependent on the ability of your memory and processor. Restart press delete to go into the BIOS/Advanced Chipset Features. CPU external frequency is the FSB it should be set at 133 currently. You also have a CPU multiplier which combined with FSB setting will give you what speed your processor is running at. For instance I have my XP 1700+ set at 200FSB 11X multiplier= 2.2Ghz. One thing to note is that the PCI and AGP bus need to stay locked b/c if you overclock without doing so it will cause instability problems and potential damage. I would try leaving the chip at its default multiplier and simply bump the FSB up. If you get instability or Windows wont load your going to need to boost the VCORE and VDIMM or DDR voltage. Dont go over 1.9V for the Vcore or 2.8 for the VDimm/DDR. Each time you do this you will save and exit the BIOS. Upon startup it will so you on boot up screen what Frequency your chip is running at. Start out at 140FSB, then 145,155,160,166, etc and carefully monitor your temps either thru Asus probe or the BIOS. You will also want to download Prime95 which is a software program that runs a "torture test" if you can run that for hours on end and it has no errors then you have a successful overclock.
