Guys PLEASE take a look at the film at the bot. of this page ( have many more ! )

This is become the norm for me

Look at the 190 I pinged at least 3 times with a bunch of bullets at close range.

Few of the hits are even at the CONVERGENCE point but the plane still flying just fine.
Right after this, some1 pings me once and I explode.

What in the wolrd can couse this huge disadvantage on my part?

I use a modem ( steady 160-180 ping and , Variance and Host Queue are a nice straight line) and I see no warps.
AMD 1800
256 RAM
G4Ti4200 GS FPS 110~60
Monitor runs 120Mhz

The game runs VERY smooth and still I'm at this huge disadvantage.

If I don't fly TIffies or F4U-C I get no kills.
The problem is much worse when I'm in a GV.

I take any suggestion/help.

Might try turning on vsync.

AKIron thnx but you could have used that line to tell me where the setting is since knwoing myself I probably changed it without knowing it.

Next time u see me in the air, waive at me so I can shoot you...don't worry ..my bullets are useless

Actually Fiat, with the default NVidia drivers vsync is on and you can't turn it off. You need to modify your registry or run a third party app to allow you to turn it off.

See, I wasn't being a smartass but I'll be happy to wave nonetheless.

About the vsync for those who want to know...you can modify this setting ( at least in the Ti4200 with 45.23 driver and ExpertTool 3.10) from the card utilityes. It has 3 options.

Anyway i still have the problem.

Any1 with suggestions? HELP.

stop going on suicide fuel pork runs. That would help you live longer.

As for your gun problem, I've noticed that at times too, but usually it's just because my crappy mg are hitting, not my cannon.

Same here. Last night I was in a 190a8 I came in behind Kite777 in a B17 box and let him have all cannons from -300, after almost emptying my rounds I barely smoked one of his drones, then got downed from a couple a pings .

So I up again, get behind Shubie in an a20, from -200 I open up with all cannons, nothins happening to the a20...he levels out and kills me with his rear gun with a short burst...lol. Good shot Shubie, but jeeezuz, where'd all my rounds go. I got so fed up I held trigger down...nothin. I fired so many rounds I figured Shubie would at least die from the fumes comin off my tracers! hehe.

I'm not the best at gunnery by no means, but I can tell when somethings wrong. Did I do something in my settings to make this happen? I did install a new RAM stick, and close a bunch of background programs, shouldn't that have made things better?
Another thing I changed was I moved my cable from the USB port to the onboard Intel Ethernet slot, could that be it? I thought that would make things better?

Any ideas. I have a Radeon 7000, 64 meg, 384 RAM. Any tweak settings? It is at default now.

Radeon drivers turn vsync off if you set the slider to 'performance'

They need to be 'custom' set to on.

Airbumba...I run an ATI 7200 with 64 meg and 384 meg RAM like you. My processor is a pentium III at 500 mz and Win98SE... Pretty slow by today's standards. When I get into heavy air, land, or sea battles I will often shoot "rubber bullets". It was explained to me that this is really "packet loss" due to the slow processing power of my machine trying to keep pace with what is happening in a fast paced arena. (Someone please correct me if this is incorrect.)
