Cant make AH2 run

I have downloaded the AH19900.exe file and have then installed
 the program.

 Everything seems fine, but when I try to click the "aceshigh.exe"
 program I get an error message that says:
                          aceshigh has caused an error in aceshigh.exe
                          Aceshigh will now close

I have tried running it from the windows explorer, the run in start,  and the program list in the start menu.

Ihave also uninstalled the program and re downloaded and installed several times, always with the same result.

I am running an Asus motherboard with an intel 866meg Pentium3,  512 megs of ram and a voodoo 3 graphics board.

By the way, the "aceshigh.exe" file that installed is 1292KBs

First and foremost, that voodoo3 is your problem.  Secondly, you need to have at least DirectX 8.1 installed; however, see point 1.  Thirdly, this should be in the AH2 forums.
