Time for a break?
« Reply #15 on: October 21, 2003, 11:32:19 AM »
Taking a break is a good way to stay fresh.

Or try some different stuff.

Fly one plane the whole camp.

Try to get the same number of kills in every fighter for the camp.  Or at least one kill in every fighter.

You're in a big squad, wing up with squaddies you haven't winged with.

Wing with people who aren't in your squad.  Helps with recruiting, too.

Set up and lead some training sessions for your squad.

Get an aimbot for ship guns and kill bombers 15k overhead.  (Had to work in a whine.)

If you're not having fun, make it fun.  Or find some other fun for awhile.  Happens to us all.

I've taken a couple of weeks also. Doin different things on the computer not related to games...period.

The urge will strike. Might even download the beta and "do" the tests. I enjoy that kinda thing.

I...am cardboard.

But I enjoy the tests and stuff. Have a mid range system and curious of the results. Noted very few systems under 1.8 cpu's

I CAN CONTRIBUTE !!

Muck, I got the History Channel about a month back...I know the feeling.

I'm with ya muckmaw.  I started up in AW back about 1993 and I've NEVER been this bored with online WW2 flight simming (not for this long anyway).

LOL Rut, a science fair project gone awry?? :rofl

I'm taking a break but not by choice, having just completed a sortie, I re-armed and turned, that's when I noticed my CH stick had broken off at the base :(  Superglue was a temp fix at best.

300 bucks for new CH USB stuff at Amazon will have to wait until after Christmas and the PC upgrade I'm working on.

I guess we've all 'blown up' a time or two, it's a very competitive game, and because it's not perfect, what worked the last 100 times won't work all the time.

I'd say cut back to squad nights and TOD, clean the garage, read a book, shoot some hoops, or go for a walk with dawife. :aok

This has been helpful.

Now I'm more adequately equipped to handle what I cannot perceive as possible.

May it never be me...

Happens to everyone, most players get hooked to a game and can't wait to get home and play, after a while they get a little bored but the friends they've made and ties to the community keep them playing.
After a while it becomes a chore and that's the time to find something else, this is a game, not a marriage, go ahead, screw around a bit, go play WW2OL or FA for a while, it gives you perspective. Staying till you hate the game just breeds contempt.

I'm back after a long break and having fun, I don't have any of the frustrations that longtime players have, It feels new again.

We'll still love you if you mess around with other games, just don't bring home any diseases!

Here ya go..... from AGW. Only a 20M d/l. Ground vehicles, tank things and a helo. Enjoy!

Anyone want to try our game free?
http://www.terracorps.com

Myself and a few friends have reacquired this game and have put it back in production. We are working hard to bring this game up to date and are starting an open beta monday the 20th of October.

If any fellow WB'ers would like to try the game free during the open beta period, stop on by.

Thanks!
