I lived in a small town where Wal-Mart moved in. It was creepy. They actually had a Wal-Mart reprersentative (whome we all called the Harbinger of doom) who came in to a town hall meeting and basically said "Resistance is futile!"
Now when you go to Ridgecrest, Ca. on a Sunday, you'll notice that 2/3's of the cirt population is crammed into the Wal-Mart, either shopping there or working there.
Nothing about unions, it just reminded me of that time.

Are you kidding. In this case Walmart at least tripled the cultural accesibility of the area.
I mean before Walmart what was there? Coyote hunting and the always exciting "finding cool shapes in joshua trees".
