Do 100% of those 300-400 read the forums?  Probably not.

I have often wondered how many of their regular customers read the BB’s every week.  Regular meaning flying for 6 months or more. I would guess about 50%.

"..how many of their regular customers read the BB’s every week."

 I bet it's closer to 10%.   Maybe 15% on a busy week.

And of that I bet only 10-15% respond or post.   I read several web boards (for various interests and hobbies) and many of these web forums will show how many times a post has been read. AGW is liek that - as an example. When I've compared the number of times a post has been read with the number of those readers who reply I figure that the average is agina, 10-15%.  So IMO people who post  are a small percent of a small percentage  who even come here.

And, of course, there's the small percentage of those who've downloaded the beta and given their feedback in the following way:

0 fps offline until I upgrade.

Further feedback probably won't happen until they upgrade. :D

Then again, perhaps there are a lot of players like me who's machine is just far too slow to even test the new version.

That's a good point, maybe there's a way to let others in on the beta 'secret'. Not many people read the boards but I'm thinking that they'd be a little more willing to help with the testing.

Perhaps a way to get the word out oh and quite a few of the players do not speak English fluently. That could also be a factor.
Anyone willing to translate for some folks? :aok

IMO a newsletter from HTC (even a brief one is better than none) or even a pop-up "message of the day" for players when they log on would work (or have worked).

You might be right westy, but I would guess higher.  One thing for sure you pointed out is more players read than post.

So true. I spend more time on the BB than I do flying. Never thought about that end of it.
