Originally posted by muckmaw I just wanted to share this with a bunch of folks who can appreciate it. Yes, I'm tooting my own horn, but it felt great to do.I was in the mall food court today, just rushing though my BS work and I happen to see a Marine in his uniform on line to pay for his lunch.Although I felt a little weird doing it, this was something I needed to do. As he was reaching into his pocket, I walked up behind him and told the cashier it was on me. The guy seemed surprised, and made a minor gesture of protest, but I insisted. He then simply said thank you...I replied by shaking his hand and saying "No, Thank you for everything you're doing".It felt really good to show my appreciated directly to the guys who are out there defending our country. I hope he tells his comrades that there are plenty of Americans that support them.
