Ah well in point of fact in can be done.
It can be a pain in the butt to set up.

First calibrate your joystick but when doing so as part of the process hold the right mouse button down while you move your mouse up / down and left to right.

And for the smart tulips thats while keeping your mouse on your mat or worktop :)

Go into setup, joystick, select joystick and assign view yaw and view pitch to your mouse, click apply.

If all went well its now working, if it does not try calibrating again and do not forget the mouse calibration process.

Remember when testing it in AH you WILL need to keep the right mouse button held down while moving the mouse for it to work.

Also the mouse view will ONLY work while your in a vehicle, be it plane GV etc.

It will NOT work while your in the tower etc, if only i had known that when i first tried getting it to work it would have saved much pain.

I tried it it works really well with a gyro mouse, but I skipped the calibration & just mapped yaw to x and pitch to y, had to invert pitch for correct gyro function.  Now i just press f8 hodl right botton and point the mouse in the direction I want to look. It's a little bit more sensitive than I would like but when I tried to calibrate it , it got so sensitive it was not usable. After many more atempts to calibrate I finally had to delete my stick.cfg file to return it to default. The best part is as soon asyou release the right button it goes right back to default view.
