That is correct... it is the 105 mm Howitzer on the AC-130 gunship. I would *NOT* like to be on the receiving end of that bad boy.

The Hurri shakes a lot firing its 40mm, I wonder how bad the airframe jumps when this guy fires!

They orbit a single point when firing... at night time a time lapse photo looks like a big tornado made of fire.

I don't remember the size of the circle, but the computer keeps the guns trained on a single point as they circle.

actuallt IRL the hurri was THE most stable fighter platform the british had for the 40mm cannon...the cannons were set to fire at the same time...so shaking was minimal...what the would do is dive down to 50 feet or lower fly next to the ground towards there target fire a couple shots of 40mm and break off...the 40mm cannons were angled at 0deg so that by putting your gunsight on the tank the plane wouldent lose altitude and crash

as for fitting that monster gun in a WW2 fighter plane thats just plain rediculous
