Title: Player Controlled Fletcher Class Destroyers

Player has control over over direction and speed. And torpedo launchers. And depth charges. Other players can man the available guns.

Currently there is no need for depth charges in game. DD torps? Sure. You don't necessarily need player helm control for that. Just man `em like the guns. I'd be thrilled for that.  :)

Would be neat if we could man the fire control towers for main battery's and secondary battery's of our current ships.  Just have it set so that someone can jump into a gun, but still leave at least one gun for the person in the fire control tower.

Not a terrible idea, but I'd rather see HTC put his time and effort into something that flies, personally. I doubt that gameplay will improve terribly with this addition and doubt even more that it will draw more people to the game. Not to mention, there are other games that focus on naval warfare.

I would be down for destroyers, nothing bigger tho.  I agree that we do need some much needed variety on the seas.  Perhaps Higgins boats for running x20 troops at a time?

For me, I think we could also add several hundred more subscribers as there is a HUGE sub/destroyer online community - and none of them have an accurate hardcore MMO feel to them...unless you think of World of Warships - and it doesn't have an integrated battlefield like Aces High.

And if you add Subs, expect several thousand more to show up.  And each of those sub and destroyer captains would also likely try their hand in fighters and bombers too.  :x

The torps I can picture as a not too hard addition. Turning AH into a sub sim? Not so much.  :old:

Oh, but we are indeed a tank sim, as well. Submarine sims are quite a different animal. And you know this.  :cool:

Can't have it both ways Arrrrrlo. And Popeye's Chicken...keep that chicken out of the beef stew.  :neener:

And since Hitech's dad was a sub driver, I wouldn't be surprised if he added subs in the coming 12 months... it was always in the gameplan.   :old:

You got a biscuit!?  Who did you have to hornswaggle to get one!?  I got a beige material chunk that makes adamantine nothing more than glass in comparison.  I thought I was french kissing a battleship though, so at least it had some resemblance of taste.

he isn't going to add subs, he would have to completely change the game.

world of warships was made as a ship and submarine game- err was designed as ship and sub game. AH 1-2-3 was not
