I logged on today at 3pm and just logged off at 10:30. Knights have had a full dar bar (sometimes 2 full dar bars) at A199 that whole time and have yet to take the base. The base was flatten a dozen times and cap was held almost continually. I myself had taken down the VH and fighter hangers on 4 separate occasions :bhead The spawn point was filled with friendly GVs all day long!
My point being: if these bases were any harder to capture the Knights would never capture a base .........ever! Pardon me for saying this, and I'll probably catch hell but, I've never seen such a big group of incompetent boobs gathered on one side in my whole life! :furious What in the hell is going on in Nitville?!
I watch day after day, week after week, tour after tour, the Bishops and Rooks take bases and win maps while the Knights stand there with their thumbs stuck in their butts. It's just pathetic! :bhead
Take some pride in yourselves you pathetic losers and start taking some bases and winning some wars! Fight for goodness sakes ya big sissys! I've said my peace and now the floor is yours........................ you incompetent, no base capturing boobs!

Why do you think I was almost exclusively a Knight when I flew? They don't care about 'WINNING ZE ALL IMPORTANT WAAAR!' Knights are furballers and fighters more than Bishops/Rooks. It's also nice not having your chat constantly spammed with 'MISSION UP$%@#%@#%@%(^!*%$)@!$(~)$(@!)%_%^*($^&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' every other minute.
My advice:
If you want non stop base taking action, go Bishop.
If you want a country mostly consisting of furballers/people who fly for the 'fight' (I use the term loosely, but the ratio of BnZ/TnB players vs Base Takers on Knights seem significantly higher than Bish and slightly higher than Rook), go Knight.
If you want a decent combination of both, go Rook.
PS: Jayro and FB missions not included in my analysis/theory/observation. ;)

at times the knits are worse than trying to herd cats.
I tried for 3 years to help GNATS take bases. We had a 90+% take record--but then no one defended and it was a complete loss after the 3rd year.
I tried for 2 more years to help GNATS and then gave up and went Bish.

I'm surprised that there were enough knights playing offense to make a big dar-bar. Usually most of the knights are running from one BASE ALERT!!!! to another defending, aka. postponing defeat. It would be nice to win one once and awhile.

i cant stand base taking.. Hence why I am a knight mostly. Hate when ppl drop FH's during a good furball.. Its cool that most people who dislike base taking end up on knits.. Makes it a fun country to be on.

I like the knights too but as a side to be on I prefer rooks I dont think I will ever fly bish again cant stand em.........I posted something similar to what you was saying uptown a few weeks ago knights just seem to fly around low when defending a base there never seems to be anyone coming over from a uncamped base to clear the cap they have bad numbers a lot of the time but even when they have numbers they never seem to do anything with it.
I know most sides are very similar and at times they are all guilty of the same things I just find rooks are a bit more capable at defending fields and counter attacking than knights and bish just roll everyone with huge hordes (hense why I hate them) must get boring flying round waiting for something to shoot at in them hordes I must say. I enjoy fighting knights tho as a rook at least its not just one huge bellybutton lame hoing horde the bish usually produce.

I've been flying Rooks for a few months now after years with the Knights.. Yes the Rooks win maps, but you're really not missing anything. When your flying the side that wins the map sure you get a few perk points, but you get kicked out of the arena just like the losers do. Its all pretty anti climatic. :P

In a recent study conducted by HT, they sent DNA samples from every country for analysis. The results were stunning. The Nit tribe seems to miss the base capture gene. It is still unknown why the gene is missing or if being a nit causes the gene to disapear. More updates when available.

I'm glad there are those interested in base taking, but it's just not for me. Base takers are there to feed me a steady supply of:
1.) Friendly buffs to protect
2.) Enemy buffs to thwart.
3.) Enemy escorts to maul
5.) Enemy Jabo's intent on destroying the dar, (or any of a hundred other objects that don't move for them).
6.) Hordes "sneaking" in thinking "we got this by surprise" as I drop in at 500mph.

Been a knight since I started in this game in 2009. They have never been a base capturing country. Lusche could brobably show the stats but I'm willing to wager that the knights have won the map the least of the three countries in the past 4 years, and probably by a wide margin. My rough guess is:
Bish 45%
Rook 40%
Knight 15%

I've been a Knight for 4 years and will remain so but it is kind of funny watching us attempt to take a base. We could have all hangers down, ack down, town down, etc. and still not capture the base because we forget to bring troops. By the time the troops finally arrive, hangars, ack and town are back up and now we have to start the whole base taking process over again. Lol! On the current map I think it took 2 days to capture 199. Meanwhile, we lose 15 of our bases because they were undefended. LMFBO! Anyway, long live the Knights!

I think it's the troops or lack thereof that kills the Knights.
Rook planners usually had that as #1 priority. If someone didn't volunteer to bring troops, the planner himself brought them. There also seemed to be a few guys that were professional Goon pilots. Anytime those guys smelled a base take they were lifting with drunks.
Being a recovering base taker, I learned pretty quick that seconds matter with troops. Not having them already in position is a big help to the defenders.

Knights stink at the strategic, slowly win the war, this makes sense, type of base take. If theres a "This makes no sense, will probably give Rooks the win, but will really tick off the Bish" type of base take, we focus a bit more. :D

Most people I know who fly knights regularly really don't care about the war. They just want to furball.

I joined a while back and just love this game. I'm a Knight as well and enjoy fighting with the guys on that team. I love the dogfighting and really enjoy when our base takes stall out and turn into raging fur balls. Lots of fun. I fly under a callsign my brother's kid came up with when they signed up for the two week trial. You'll usually find me in a pony or corsair and if it looks like I'm running I'm just extending out to even up a fight with your turny twisty plane. I can't believe how much you all bash each other here and on that 200 channel. That's the only downside to the game. Looking forward to logging in in a few days and mixing it up again. Thanks for all the good fights and hours of fun. I hope this game has a long life! :cheers:

I think Redbull got it the closest. 99% of Nitville has been clinicly diagnosed with ADD (or ADHD). We're more likely to go headfirst into the biggest flame/furball than organise a base-take in a quieter corner of the map.

I get frustrated at times being a Knight, especially when someone drives an hour in a m3 to take a base and only 1 or 2 guys show up to support his effort that's why I jump to another country from time to time just to see the game from another side. I have to say the Bish & Rook guys dont make me laugh like the Knights do, we got some wackos in the air :rock. Rooks are sort of care free,have some sense of humor and get the job done when they want to. Bish are all business last time I played with them I dont think I cracked a smile for 2weeks and it felt like I was in a Icebox. Knights are just a bunch of sick puppies and a hoot to play with.

I will say that the knits seem to give more resistance on at a player-level, with the Bish trailing in third (possibly for the tactical reason that the longer I chase, the less useful stuff I'm doing. But I'm inclined to chalk it up to something other than tactical competence).
I like the atmosphere of the Knits best, and the action on the Rook side (not entirely defensive fighting :neener:). The bish machine is very effective at what it does, I just don't enjoy that type of thing.

Knights don't really capture fields on purpose, if it happens, it happens. Knights destroy fields on purpose, usually in a frenzied bloodlust until, for one reason or another, there are no more defenders. Then we get bored and move on, weather the field gets captured or not is incidental. It usually happens when Knights who have chased prey back to ack become cross enough to de-ack. When the base is de-acked the call goes out and Knights will gather like piranha at a cattle river crossing.
Rooks are mongols, bishops are romans. Knights are Vikings, we don't come for your land, and after we get our fill we take our ships home.

Knight ADHD is their best and worst attribute.
Fighting with knights is a very binary proposition.
A. - Everything red becomes dead in a few moments.

De-aking is so passé, real men just fly through it and ignore the burning bits falling off around their ADHD kesters. Everyone knows Hitech remodeled the mens rooms back in the tower with saunas, Swedish masseuses, and fresh hot linin towels scented with O'Dea SQUIRREL. You should see the curtains in the men's room, ooh lala.
Come to think of it, I see lots of squirrels in my neighborhood driving dogs nuts and running them around in single minded circles getting nowhere quickly. They know my cats are indoor cats and come to the windows to drive them nuts too. Flying with the knights is an exercise in learning how to die in ever more creative ways to the dulcet choir of heavenly singing the word "squirrel" while some idieot screeches "Nie!!" at the front end of a streaming flambé. But, we got great curtains in our towers.

I've been starting to recall why Bish were the only country I legitimately hated.
Ho's, and hordes, and bails.... oh my :uhoh.
But on a more serious note, the first time I hopped over to bish since I got back, I was greeted with "Spy!!!! Look, his squad is knit and rook, they're probably ALL spying!!". So add raving paranoia to that above list. Besides that, they're the only country that causes me to be genuinely surprised when I don't have to chase the red guy down to get a shot. The whole attitude there seems to be that combat is just an unavoidable annoyance, which gets in the way of the primary goal of rolling bases, and that all possible effort should be made to minimize the disruption (be it through avoiding combat, or hording so combat is easy).
Now its not that I think they're incapable, or inherently inept, but it feels more as if your typical bish pilot isn't quite as practiced at 1v1 or even 2 or 3v1 engagments; the ACM is still there, its just a bit rusty.

In WWII, you bailed out over enemy territory and you didn't get home until the war was over. And of course, there were no awards for bailing out. You mean you bailed out of a perfectly good airplane with no damage with plenty of fuel left?? Your flying days are over!

I've had bombers bail at ~6k and got proxies on them, and I've had others at less than 3K bail and no proxy. I don't really care about the proxy for score, but it does function as somewhat of a deterrent to doing so. However, I do like that idea of not giving them any perks for doing so, maybe that would stop the frequency a bit. What is odd is lately the proxies seem to be much less in these situations than in the past. Up until ~3 weeks ago, it seemed like I nearly always got them on bailing bombers up to ~6k. Much less frequently lately, anyone know why?
On topic, I guess if what is being said here is correct, than I guess were the blondes so to speak of AH, maybe we're "dumb" or "stupid" in others opinions, but we definitely have more fun. Troops can't kill anything, so it's possible no one wants to bring them??? Two words I've never seen in Knight chat buffer: "Mission UP." It would seem that we like being individuals and teamwork is exhausting. And no doubt when you have to get 15-30 ppl together doing something collectively when they are used to doing whatever it is they want, yes that is exhausting. In summary, I believe Knights find focusing on the war boring; why shouldn't they? What more to it is there than, numerous up hvy, bomb town, keep cap, run troops, congratulate, & repeat, repeat, & repeat...

I logged on today at 3pm and just logged off at 10:30. Knights have had a full dar bar (sometimes 2 full dar bars) at A199 that whole time and have yet to take the base. The base was flatten a dozen times and cap was held almost continually. I myself had taken down the VH and fighter hangers on 4 separate occasions :bhead The spawn point was filled with friendly GVs all day long!
My point being: if these bases were any harder to capture the Knights would never capture a base .........ever! Pardon me for saying this, and I'll probably catch hell but, I've never seen such a big group of incompetent boobs gathered on one side in my whole life! :furious What in the hell is going on in Nitville?!
I watch day after day, week after week, tour after tour, the Bishops and Rooks take bases and win maps while the Knights stand there with their thumbs stuck in their butts. It's just pathetic! :bhead

I suck at this game, ive slowly improved over the 3yrs ive been playing, still pay 15$ a month, what does that make me? I read all the chest thumping crap on the BBS and on 200 and think what will all people who think their crap dont stink will do once AH is gone, who are they gonna try to impress.
I play this game to re live a bit history that to me is being forgotten.
I use to whine complain about hordes, HO's etc… then i realized i cant control how others play, i can only control how i play.

With the amount of players that are typically used to take a single base. These missions if properly planned and executed you should be able to take 2 or 3 simultaneously. Yet often these missions fail to capture even 1 unless its completely undefended.
And all countries do it. Not just the nits

Not really concerned with the furballers until they buzz your hidden M3 or C47 at 50 feet multiple times to get the enemy plane off thier six.
The best thing to do when you see huge dar bars and you want to take a base is to go somewhere else.......unless you are like me and capture bases because of thier strategic importance such as a 3.7k field elevation or a prime location to spawn tanks for enemy strats.
If you happen to want a base where there is a huge furball, the huge population there is both a benefit and a detriment to your capture attempt.

You're attempt to belittle me because Fester is a top 20 player in the game, therefore HE GETS A PASS is better than laughable, it's hilarious. So being good at this game means one can be a total DH, hmmm entitled background much? One has almost zero to do with the other, and that's your defense??? And then you say that braggart Bogarts in this game are not to be ridiculed or targeted for their outlandishness. I say quite the contrary. I think you've taken what I mean to say in the wrong way. To be more precise; I don't have any problems with anyone trying to be good at a game, or much less anything they aspire to do; as long as it isn't evil. What I do think is childish, stupid, a waste of time, and goes on a lot around here is what Bustr has stated numerous times: the whole my dog, my dad, my plane...will beat you/your yada yada. Additionally, the ego that gets attached to it, and the (silent) condoning of ridicule of lesser skilled players is rampant in the text buffers. How often are we losing new members or even older players to being told to go play with their barbies and the other crap rhetoric that serves to inflate one person's ego and belittle another's.
The inference and easily assumed interpretation from a lot of what has been directed at me (lately it seems) is that players with great skill at AH can act however they want and we should all bow and accept. While the less skilled should take the mocking of them silently and at no point shall we highlight their artificially inflated egos, not to mention point out that this stuff does not fly in the real world.
Not sure why anyone would criticize my volunteering at the VA.

I agree it has gotten out of hand in the game. There has always been "smack talk" in any type of competition. I don't think anyone should get a free pass for stepping over the line, but the smack talk is part of this game as it is in any game. Bragging about how good you are at this game is part of that.
You would think with the number of grown men we have playing that it could be easily controllable, but I fear that they are worst than the kids more often than not.
