Some things are just so satisfying whether film was saved or not. I know what happened and you know what happened. But no point in saying any more because we both know who owned whom.

the spitfire against the A20 in a fair dogfight is no competition and nothing to brag about.
Cobia is one of the best A20 fliers in game and you should show him some more respect. A man looking to improve one's own skills would do very well to admire such bravery in a big bird.

He has a personal family reason for flying it. One I respect very much as I do his piloting skills. :salute
But I still feel proud of downing the best A20 pilot :rock in the game with substantial frequency. :)

Get out of you Ladies Trainer, MidFail, and get into an A20. If you can beat Cobia just ONCE in 100 sorties you will have earned the right to brag.
You WON'T, because you CAN'T. You lack the SACK. That's why you still fly the trainer.

Last night, I was in the tower and two guys were jousting with a Spitfire at my icon range limit... One of the friendlies was in an F4U-4 almost out of gas... I grabbed a 109F-4 and took off, staying on the deck while building E. I saw one friendly go down and the F4U-4 hightailing it. I set course to intercept the Spitfire, who when he spotted my 109, turned towards me. We merged, and I reversed and was able to get some hits right off the reversal. I used some flaps and quickly got inside in the vertical for a close-in deflection shot. Down went the Spitfire. The pilot was "who".
Midway, we've spent time in the TA, and fought many times in the MA. You don't run, you stay and fight. I've seen less HO attempts. However, you're still a good measure away from being a top-tier stick. Not just in skill level, but in manners. Honestly, if you spend less time yakking it up and more time practicing flying skills, you may get there some day. Several top sticks have helped you thus far. Look at how these gents deal with other players as an example of how to get respect in the community. Being respected in the game has two primary aspects. First and foremost is gentlemanly behavior. Second, and lesser, is flying skill.

Widewings words ring true as usual. But Midway is slowly turning away any sort of base that can push him past his current level. Cobia is one who I highly respect in this game on many levels. This post definitly puts midway in my -1 category. A full apology to Cobia along with never doing anything like this on the BBs or Game, may be a start to slowly bring your standing in the community back.
Cobia, if you are reading this, bring your A20 butt back into the TA every now and then, I'm sure my A20 skills are getting rusty :aok

It's your problem if you let folks get under your skin about choice of ride. Frankly no one cares although getting you to dance seems to be a bit of an AH hobby for lots of folks.

I was really responding to the LA7 comment on 200, but as you know, lots of derogatory comments about Spitfire pilots too. I don't mind defending the Spitfire. I found it odd that i was png-ed for a month for sending this person to his place after he came into a friendly salute thread only to troll me. Yet he still can continue to annoy and insult people on a regular basis, also talk about honour and respect and lick somebody's something in the same time.

The rules here do seem to be inconsistently applied. Honestly, threads like this just drive me away from Aces High's forums, and this includes contributing to technical subjects or helping add useful material. Maybe there should be a 'Soap Opera' section which you can opt out of seeing. :rolleyes:

Well, being constantly told publicly on 200 how a Spitfire or LA7 pilot is somehow inferior, flying with "training wheels", being in "easy mode", or "going full on retarded" does cause some to want to defend their honour. :joystick:
Since I couldn't say anything on 200 :frown:, where my choice of aeroplane is constantly publicly disparaged, often by pilots who are very good, I did feel compelled to make my boast in the original post re the so called training wheels equipped / easy mode aeroplane again pawing an excellent pilot in their favorite ride. I admit it was, again, a moment of weakness and I likely should have said nothing. Bruv and Widewing made that clear in their excellent posts, and neither of whom have insulted my aeroplane, as I recall. They are indeed men of peace thru strength -- of character :salute :rock
I do get a special thrill out of pwning, with substantial frequency, those highly skilled pilots that tend to publicly disparage my choice of aeroplane. It does make for some good fights, on occasion. :aok :x

Well, being constantly told publicly on 200 how a Spitfire or LA7 pilot is somehow inferior, flying with "training wheels", being in "easy mode", or "going full on retarded" does cause some to want to defend their honour. :joystick:
Since I couldn't say anything on 200 :frown:, where my choice of aeroplane is constantly publicly disparaged, often by pilots who are very good, I did feel compelled to make my boast in the original post re the so called training wheels equipped / easy mode aeroplane again pawing an excellent pilot in their favorite ride. I admit it was, again, a moment of weakness and I likely should have said nothing. Bruv and Widewing made that clear in their excellent posts, and neither of whom have insulted my aeroplane, as I recall. They are indeed men of peace thru strength -- of character :salute :rock
I do get a special thrill out of pwning, with substantial frequency, those highly skilled pilots that tend to publicly disparage my choice of aeroplane. It does make for some good fights, on occasion. :aok :x

If it is true, then I think what I should do about it to become a better person, pilot, partner, whatever. Thus through interaction one progresses.

However, in this case, the statement is not true, imho, and having been repeated multiple times and reinforced by many others, deserves a response. My response is to learn to be a good fighter pilot and shoot down offending pilots with substantial frequency and emphasis on the concept of pwnage. Hopefully said pilots will learn that the mighty Spitfire is an awesome aeroplane to behold and to respect when one approaches. :O
Hopefully said offending pilots, especially those with significant skill, will also see there are no training wheels attached to the Spitfire as it gets really close just before the cannons fire. :D

No, I do not ignore the falsities, I attribute them to the other person misinterpreting my actions or motivations, which is commonplace. One does not have to address every comment that someone throws at you. Often it is better to be a damper instead of an amplifier.

It is their character failing as people to bully you Midway, not yours. It is your failing if you react to that with spite and vengeance. You should do your best to develop your ACM and ignore those who try to taunt you and manipulate you. This present path you are on leads to a dead end and stagnation, because no one will help someone with a questionable agenda to improve.
When you can get your real callsign back and turn over a new leaf. No more of these posts please, for your own good.

And you scored a fair, good kill... And then refused to back it up with any further fights, even though you ran off at the mouth on 200 quite a bit more after that. Then came the 20+ kill run on you, until you finally agreed to another 1v1 in an I-16.... Where I subsequently "pwned" you again, and you finally did STFU, at least for a while.
And it still stands.... Maybe Lusche can research the stats, but best as I can tell I probably have a 10:1 k/d vs you.... Although I admit that isn't saying much. I'm an average pilot at best.... What does that say about you?
