Title: Playin it straight
Post by: smokey23 on March 14, 2008, 05:30:00 PM
Im curious, I see post after post of what is clearly people gameing the game. Does anyone just play the game the way it was intended. I for one dont use or see any reason to use any of the graphic adjustments in order to eliminate the terrain to see gv's at further distances and some of the other gamey things ive heard and or seen being done. What  im getting at is does anyone play the game straight anymore just put youreself in a plane or GV and go to war??

Im sure noone will admit it if they do use these gamey tactics and im not one to judge but if you do whats the point. doesnt seem like a challenge to me. Playing it straight is the way to go That way a successful sortie  is truly somethin not just a hollow victory.

I'm set up to give me the best graphic performance and fps i can get, all at a steady smooth rate. Turning down your settings to me is like buying a color t.v. and disabling the color. If i were to use any of the so called gaming the game tactics or aim bots or whatever i'd probably be done with the game in 6 months. I play for the challenge and thrill.

I try to play the game on the "up and up" Don't fire on HO merges unless fired upon, don't use F3 view in buffs for gunning, only for looking around, don't turn graphics down, don't turn gammas up. I fly for the fight, win loose or draw, that what its all about. If the guy I'm fighting calls "bingo", I'll most likely let him go.

Lame, maybe, but its the way I like to play the game.

Oh, and to answer the original question - I dont move sliders from where they are (gots ta have me eye candy).
I try not to ho (but I get excited....errrrr ..so it happens) (unless I'm fired on first too), and I'm trying to gain some ACM skills so I'm not so simple to shoot down. Its taking some time tho.......lol...
