I was over 92 in lancs because the Wirbel's wouldn't die...and they still didn't die either...

Image 1, I drop my bombs on a FLAK (Wirbel)
Image 2, I strike a dead hit, but for some odd reason my bombs didn't show they exploded, yet in the film you hear them explode. You can tell they hit the flak because of the fuel bunker being up in the first pic, and down in the second.
Here is the film: (Forward to 1:23)

P.S. I don't know why it shows night out, film view must be screwed up.

And every other time I've been bombed in it, it took just one nearby bomb. I'm pretty sure I've had a P47 drop me with a centerline bomb, which IIRC can only be 500lbs.

I'm trying to figure out how a hit roughly 200ft away (the fuel dump) from the Wirbelwind is suppose to show a hit and destroy it?
-
I testify to this as well.
Yesterday, on a mission, over 15 guys (with cannon & ME 110 heavy bombs) were for almost 10 minutes, unable to kill one of those little boogers. They made of titanium??

I didn't mean that, but keep in mind the drone...and still, even a blast radius should at least smoke his turret...
-
yesterday I hit a WW from about 150ft out in side once 2 times in front turret and once in the front with a pnzr he then landed (he was on concrete at his v base) without his turret even being smoked.
-
You were under 1000ft AGL. If I recall correctly, you must be at least 1000ft for bombs to arm.

800 feet I think...
But still, when you listen to the film, you hear the bombs explode...

Wrong. There is no minimum altitude.
A bomb will arm if it traveled at least 1000 feet. Depending on your speed at time of drop, the minimum altitude required for this can be considerable less than 1000ft.

mine dies just fine. and gets turreted EASLY. i dont find them more of a threat then the osti. not complaining i am having fun with the WW. great add.

M8s pop WWs easy.

you think thats bad, i shot an M-3 25 feet away with a panzr and it took 4 shots to kill it. first shot was right at the driver the other 3 were in the grill.

doesnt it say in the hints and tips on the start up screen say 800 feet? pretty shure it did.

Heh. Guess it's just how you hit it...
Just tonight I was in lancs IB to a town NOE, the town was down, and I saw a Wirbel parked on the runway...I salvo'ed 14 and carpet bombed him...all bombs landed on him or around him...he started up, started driving and shot at me with his turret...too bad I didn't get that on film...

Thats for troops and supplies. They need to be dropped from over 800ft AGL, or while sitting still on ground. As far as bombs I regularly drop from below 800ft doing 300mph+ on GVs. Bombs need to travel a total distance (slant range) of 1000ft to arm.
