Here is a link to the latest campaign speech given tonight by Obama.
http://www.kezi.com/article.aspx?id=25364
Can anyone explain why so many young women in the audience are screaming their heads off in the video? They sound like they are at some rock concert listening to the nation's newest heartthrob. A number of women even shouted out to him that they loved him.
Every seat was full. There was even over another 1,000 standing, on top of that. And there was yet another 3,000 that could not get inside, so Obama briefly spoke to them at a nearby track field, before addressing the audience inside the Basketball Arena.
So Obama-mania seems to be going stronger than ever. People started lining up at the Arena at 5am this morning, in order to guarantee that they could hear his 9pm speech.
This rally was held at a liberal university town here in Oregon. So maybe other parts of the country don't love him quite this much.

Crack is a big problem nowadays.

they drank the obama koolaid.

Obviously they don't "know" he's a black racist. Maybe they won't/can't vote. Hope the Secret Service is doubly vigilant with all those kooks in the crowd. Might not be able to tell them apart from the one who has a different idea in mind.

Blacks cannot be racist. Only european males can be racist.

Signed,
Johnny Cochran.

arlo.. sure they know he is a racist and a lot of other things too.. but.. just like women who write and then marry guys on death row... they don't care.. it doesn't apply to them.

Or ... anyone on the team I hate that can be perceived/spun to appear racist* in an election year certainly is, especially if it'll keep them out of my candidate's oval office. :salute
*Nevermind the irony or the situation.

Mmmmmmmmmmright. ;)

arlo.. do you seriously think that the half negro guy likes and trusts white people the same as fellow half or full negros?
Do you think he can be surrounded by racists and married to a woman who sees America as a land where no hope ever existed.. that he can just rise above that?
What kind of man would go to that church and marry that woman? simple answer.. no humor.. no spin.. the kind who pretty much agreed.. who felt comfortable around those people.
from personal experience.. I don't hang out with the people who I once did... I don't think like em anymore.. it can't work.. it would be too frustrating.

Black Guy Asks Nation For Change
March 19, 2008 | Issue 44•12 --Onion
CHICAGO—According to witnesses, a loud black man approached a crowd of some 4,000 strangers in downtown Chicago Tuesday and made repeated demands for change.
"The time for change is now," said the black guy, yelling at everyone within earshot for 20 straight minutes, practically begging America for change. "The need for change is stronger and more urgent than ever before. And only you—the people standing here today, and indeed all the people of this great nation—only you can deliver this change."
"I've already seen this guy four times today," Chicago-area ad salesman Blake Gordon said. "Every time, it's the same exact spiel. 'I need change.' 'I want change.' Why's he so eager for all this change? What's he going to do with it, anyway?"
After his initial requests for change, the black man rambled nonstop on a variety of unrelated topics, calling for affordable health care, demanding that the government immediately begin withdrawing troops from Iraq, and proposing a $75 billion economic stimulus plan to create new jobs.
"What a wacko," Schaumburg, IL resident Patrick Morledge said. "And, of course, after telling us all about how he had the ability to magically fix everything, he went right back to asking for change. Typical."
"If he's really looking for change, he's got the wrong guy," Morledge added.
Reports indicate that the black man has been riding from city to city across the country, asking for change wherever he goes. Citizens in Austin, TX said they spotted the same guy standing on the street Friday, shouting far-fetched ideas about global warming. Cleveland residents also reported seeing him in a local park, wildly gesticulating and quoting from the Bible. And last week, patrons at the Starlight Diner in Cheyenne, WY claimed that the black man accosted them while they were eating, repeatedly requesting change.
"I saw him walk in and I knew he was headed straight for our table," said mother of three Gladys Davies. "He just stood there smiling at us for a while, and asked how our food tasted. Then he went and did the same thing at the next table over. The nerve of some people."
Those who encountered the black man Tuesday said he engaged in erratic behavior, including pointing at random people in the crowd and desperately saying he needs their help, going up to complete strangers and hugging them, and angrily claiming that he is not looking for just a little bit of change, but rather a great deal of change, and that he wants it "right now."
"I'll be honest, when that black guy said he would 'stop at nothing' to get change, it kind of scared me," local mechanic Phil Nighbert said. "Just leave me alone."
Though many were taken aback by the black man's brazen demands, some, such as Jackson, MS's Holly Moser, sympathized with him. She gave the black man credit for boldly standing up and asking every last person around him for change.
"I told him I'd give him some if I saw him later, even though I probably won't," Moser said. "Very nice man, though."
Most, however, ignored his requests.
"I'm a hardworking American who pays his taxes, and the last thing I need is some guy on the street demanding change from me," said William Overkamp, a Springfield, IL gun-shop owner.
He added, "What he really needs is a job."

If the spin didn't involve exaggeration regarding both his church and his wife (since apparently it's too hard to pin it on him directly) I might be swayed by this plodding logic. Alas, it does. Which is why I'm more suspicious of the mud than what it's being slung at. Then again, maybe that's the legacy of the "swiftboating" carried out in the previous campaign. Seems a rather poorly derived campaign tactic. *ShruG*
Guess we'll see. If I learn something from it, I'll admit it, gladly or not. But that's me. :)

I dont like change. Change is bad. 99 times out of 100 whenever some loudmouth asks for change and gets it, I end up getting screwed.
To hell with change. Keep things just the way they are.

The racism card is the red herring shied Obama's defenders use to deflect any criticism about Obama.
You want to know where Obama is coming from and what sort of "change you can believe in" is headed your way, I'd suggest looking at his actual record.
http://www.govote.com/Senate/Barack_Obama.htm
For me there's a lot not to like; things that have absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin.
His determination to significantly raise income taxes is unacceptable to me.
His stance on education is unacceptable to me; I always wonder about legislators that send their kids to exclusive private schools but are against the voucher system.
His intention to meet with clowns like Chavez does not meet my expectations in the foreign policy area.
I find his commentary on government reform laughable from a person that is in league with Tony Resko.
His ignorant commentary on gun control is unacceptable. "Ban semiautomatics"; he doesn't have a clue.
I don't agree with his "path to citizenship" approach to the immigration problem.
I don't see any positive change I can believe in. I see a lot of negative change that I believe he will try to implement.
But, of course, since it's hard to counter those points, I'll soon be accused of racism.
Ripsnort's sig line should be modified for the election period. It now says "The modern definition of 'racist' is someone who is winning an argument with a liberal." But during this election it should say "The modern definition of 'racist' is someone who won't vote for Obama."
But what do I know; I'm probably just a typical white man. <- That isn't a racist remark. This would be a racist remark: "Joe Shmoe is just a typical black man." See the difference?
-
The racism card is the red herring shied Obama's defenders use to deflect any criticism about Obama.
And not a red herring used to build a smear campaign against him? Whoa man ... doesn't that make you dizzy? :D

So you are you are saying that it is more of a question of the color of one's reference rather than the content of one's character?

The whole Wright episode doesn't make me think Obama is racist. It makes me think he's deficient in the judgement department. This guy wants to be President and he's been hanging around an albatross like Wright for 20 years? Then he goes and lies about being in church while Wright was ranting? These facts don't make me think "racist", they make me think "stupid". Just like his association with Resko was stupid. That's Chicago politics for you though. Tough to find a Chicago pol that isn't on the take.
BTW, have you seen or heard any of the mainstream media calling Obama a racist over the Wright thing? I have not. I have seen a bunch questioning his judgement on associating with such a divisive person. Tell me then.. do you think ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN are doing a smear campaign on Obama because they reported this association?
Bottom line, I don't think Obama is racist. It's a red herring tossed around by both sides to deflect scrutiny from real issues. What I think Obama is is way too liberal to get my vote. I'd think the same if he was pink, blue, green, black, brown or yellow.
-
So you are you are saying that it is more of a question of the color of one's reference rather than the content of one's character?
I'm saying there's a huge double standard. But you knew that.
-
deficient in judgment or simply a racist or simply.. all negros racists and not ready yet to lead...
No matter what. there is truth in all those statements and it will give white guilt a chance to sigh relief and not pull the lever for the guy out of PC white guilt..
the good thing is that once the white guilt it over with then we can look at the real liberal socialist that the half negro guy is and vote against him for content rather than color.
either one is good enough to not vote for this guy tho.. he is the one who can't leave color out of it.. he is the one who has the white mom but calls himself "african american" he is the one who allows people to say that race plays a part.

obama is a typical black man.
No, your average black man is not raised by a white family, who sends him to the best schools and college in the nation.
Obama's father abandoned him and his mother after living with them for only a short time, to go back to his native Kenya. He had previously received an American scholarship to attend the University of Hawaii, which is how he came about to meet Obama's mother, who was an 18 year old freshman at the University of Hawaii when she met him. Previously, he had abandoned a wife in Kenya who also had a baby son with him, and who was also pregnant with their second children, when he dumped her. Obama's mother actually divorced his father when she discovered his bigamous double life with another wife he had never bothered to divorce. His father had basically lied and duped his mother regarding the kind of man he really was.
Obama's mother then married another Muslim man, a prosperous oil company manager from Indonesia. Obama then lived in Indonesia for awhile with his mother, and was raised to be a Muslim during this time. When he turned 10, however, Obama's mother determined that he would be better off living in the USA. So she sent him to go live with her parents, who are both white. Obama's white grandparents then put Obama into an expensive prep school ( tuition was $14,000 year ) where he got a first class education, that prepared him to go on to Harvard University, one of the most prestigious schools in the USA. After graduating from both Harvard and then Harvard's Law School with high honors, he later when on to study further at Columbia University, considered by many to be the best University in New York.
Obama's father, meanwhile, ended up marrying another two women back in Kenya. He became alcoholic, and his former wives have charged him with terrible abuse, saying that he beat them regularly, as the Koran allows a husband to discipline his wife.
Obama thus has numerous half brothers and sisters in Africa, many of whom do not like him, because he is half-white.
To me, Obama is much more a white man, than a black American, because of his upbringing. He owes everything to his white mother and grandparents. Yet, he decided to settle in the city with the highest black population in the USA, and join a church that preached that white people were evil, and is segregated ( it only allows Blacks to be members ).

Man, you were doing so good until you said that...Untrue, of course- churches allow people to segregate on their own and don't need rules banning integration.
-
BTW- you guys are barking up the wrong tree- there is no way Obama gets the nomination, even if he carries the majority of the popular vote. Your "choice" will be McCain and Hillary, just as I told you in 2004.

You obviously don't know anything about Obama's church, Trinity United Church of Christ, as your statement about them is clearly untrue. Here is what the Church says about itself on their website:
"We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."
It is clearly a BLACK church specifically for BLACK people.
Obama made a clear decision to join a segregated church. And that shows what an absolute hypocrite he is.
You should first educate yourself on issues, before making misstatements like you have here.
