Title: Muppets - especially two individuals
Post by: bravak on April 23, 2008, 09:39:00 PM
Ok - what is the deal with SkyRock and BiPolar?  I have been away for a while and remember the Muppets as decent pilots.

Now I get the following:
- decent pilots who want everyone to know they are decent
- obnoxious
- inflamatory
- blaming
- rude
- arrogant
- anytime they get shot down it was because of : (pick one)Ho, cherry pick, vulch, alt monkey, gang up
- or, you always run away in there minds.

?

What the heck?  A good example happened the other day.  I was returning to base after a furball in my ride at 5k.  As I am throttled back to land, I see 4 Corsiars come in at around 10k and jump two friendlies.  Nothing wrong here, I throttle up, pull up into the fight (low e now), and finally get on the tail of one of the Corsairs.  We go back and forth, and a mini furball happens.  I finally get a shot in and down a Corsair.  It was one of the people above.  I send a immediate <S> because I thought the Corsair was flown good.  I get back a 200 rant on "Uh Uh, no way you Cherry Picker!"  "You suk and couldn't help gang bang"  huh???  Normally, not a big deal, BUT, this seems to be the norm with these guys.

Why?  Is this an act? Are they playing a role?  It is wierd.  I am just curious as all heck why they would act like morons - the only thing I can think of is that this is a joke... They are always acting like jerks.  Is the teacher bored with the job?

Why make such a broad generalization about a squad or two individuals you know nothing about....

Why make such a broad generalization about a squad or two individuals you know nothing about....

Because this is a trend/activity/issue I have been seeing for four months now....  I see they are like by some people...I can't help but think it is an act.  Don't know why I am so curious....but it seems to me that they are a large proportion of the negative 200 chatter.  It baffles me, if it is not an act, why someone could be so arrogant and mean all the time.  It is almost like their identity is defined by a game.....sad.....

Must say i enjoyed the utube video, Mark. It is a pleasure to meet the real person behind "skyrock"

You and I have had some ch 200 "discussions" starting with skyrock's usual accusations, but they always seem to end with a <S>.

You and I are very different in that I am who I am on and off line. I have no in game persona. Skyrock does cross the line sometimes, but now that I know once and for all the difference between Skyrock and Mark, I will find Skyrock a lot more fun.

This has been a most enlightening thread.

Mark, Ken salutes you.

Because S.A.P.P. forbids any locking of threads without the express permission of The Consortium of 12, which is made up of the 12 senior members of S.A.P.P.  Without express permission of The Consortium, no actions can be taken.  Since the Muppets provide us with countless hours of amusement with the threads they create and those that are created about them, it would be silly for an omnipotent ruling body such as the mighty and all vengeful Consortium of 12 to lock these threads.

here's the deal in a nutshell.  some people get their kicks trying to piss off others.  in the intardwebs world this is called trolling.  Beware the troll!  They have nothing better to do than a pissing match in words on the internet.

Rules of the Internet #15:  Do NOT argue with the troll, it's how they win.

I've flown with Skyrock and BP - and flown against em as well. Not had a problem with either, tho I have seen a truckload of people start on them on 200 - which is when things get interesting.

Obviously, I mostly lose when I fly against em, and have had my 6 cleared by em a couple of times when I've done my usual "lets all do a conga" impression and have lots of red chasing me around...lol... :D

Only if you live there full time or are playing the game from it are you considered trailer trash. Being a hillbilly is an inherited condition that no amount of bathing will remove. I will list the tell tale signs that will help you determine if you a hillbilly,

Have a pair of overalls in closet

are married to a family member

can brush and floss your teeth in 30 seconds

wear shoes only 20% of the time

have a 30-40 broken down vehicles strewn around your house and call it landscape

refer to people as son

if your name is Cletis, Buford or if your first name ends with bob

if your favorite movie is smokey and the bandit

call a pool a swimmin hole

classified shorts as a scissor altered pair of pants.

call pants trousers

call food vittles

and if you live east of the Rockies and south of Wisconsin

That more than likely describes 65% of the people that play this game

I'm blaming the medicine the doctor gave me for my bronchitus, it's making me feel really, really stoned.  Not that I'm complaining but I did have a slight hallucination yesterday morning where I actually thought I went into work for a few hours before being told to go home.  Though, that was probably due to the fever I had than the medicine but damn if it doesn't feel like I've smoked a spliff after taking the pills.

??????????????
I've never had a problem with ANY Muppets.   Morons, jerks?    Nah, they want the same thing that some of us want.   A decent fight.

Im not getting on the Polar, Skyrock, Muppet bandwagon. I think a lot of guys just repeat stuff they heard and never had a bad experience with them in the first place. I dont read 200 anyways, but a little chops-busting aint the end of the world. They got a great website too.

I talked with SR once and thought he was a good guy.

Pass the Dutchie.    :D

:rock :rock :rock

This generation,
Rules the nation,
With version.

Music happen to be the food of love.
Sounds to really make you rud and scrub.

I say: Pass the dutchie on the left hand side.
Pass the dutchie on the left hand side.
It a gonna burn, give me the music make me jump and prance.
It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance.

It was a cool and lovely, breezy afternoon
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
You could feel it 'cause it was the month of June
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
So I left my gate and went out for a walk
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
As I pass the dreadlocks' camp I heard them say
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)

Pass the dutchie on the left hand side.
Pass the dutchie on the left hand side.
It a gonna burn, give me the music make me jump and prance.
It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance.

So I stopped to find out what was going on
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
'Cause the spirit of Jah, you know he leads you on.
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
There was a ring of dreads and a session was there in swing.
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
You could feel the chill as I seen and heard them say
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)

Pass the dutchie on the left hand side
Pass the dutchie on the left habd side
It a gonna burn, give me the music make me jump and prance
It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance

'Cause me say listen to the drummer, me say listen to the bass
Give me little music make me wind up me waist
Me say listen to the drummer, me say listen to the bass
Give me little music make me wind up me waist, I say

Pass the dutchie on the left hand side
Pass the dutchie on the left hand side
It a gonna burn, give me the music make me jump and prance
It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance

You play it on the radio, a so me say,
We a go heard it on the stereo
A so me say know you go play it on the disco
A so me say we a go hear it on the stereo

Pass the dutchie on the left hand side
Pass the dutchie on the left hand side
It a gonna burn, give me the music make me jump and prance
It a go done, give me the music make me rock in the dance

I say east, say west, say north and south
(On the left hand side)
This is gonna really make us jump and shout
(On the left hand side)

Ok - what is the deal with SkyRock and BiPolar?  I have been away for a while and remember the Muppets as decent pilots.

Now I get the following:
- decent pilots who want everyone to know they are decent
- obnoxious
- inflamatory
- blaming
- rude
- arrogant
- anytime they get shot down it was because of : (pick one)Ho, cherry pick, vulch, alt monkey, gang up
- or, you always run away in there minds.

Who the hell is bravak?  :huh

And most of the muppets that were around the last time I was active are much better than 'decent'. Most of the newer guys were just targets last time I played, though

I have always like the SkyRock charecter, even though sometimes we all take it out on him when he goes on his rants. :D When I started playing, year back, I thought SR was the best player flying. Of course I know now that he isn't, but still one of the best playing. I look up to him on some of his flying aspect, and would realy like to DA him sometime, so I can watch the films and see how he would beat me.
I, sometimes get like SR on 200 and start ranting, but if any of you guys knew me, I'm far from what I do in the MA.
