A matter of taste.
Do you prefer the girl in purple, or in blue?
I said I would post this question, because is was asked by one of the girls.
HiTech
-
whats wrong with one of each? IMO there is no such thing as a girl without something charming. ok flame away.
-
The one in purple's arm is in the way...thus making a proper judgement call difficult.
We also need a side shot of the girl in blue.
I'm leaning towards blue...but the goods beneath the arm of purple may be the clincher.
-
You cruising Russian brides?
-
They don't appear to be my type but for discussion sake I would think that the one in blue would be the one I prefer. Both women appear to be equally at ease with the camera and willing to have their perceived "charms" discussed at length by a bunch of cartoon fighter plane drivers...so they can't be all that bad.
As for the one in purple there is something that I just don't quite like. I can't put my finger on it but it is there.
BTW where the hell was that photo taken? The writing on the lit up advertisement/cooler visible in the window doesn't appear to be anything I have seen in Texas.
-
The girl in blue.
-
yep. blue.
-
The cruel thing about growing older is ones high standards for women diminishes. That said, all 3 look good to me. :O :huh
-

The one in the black, green and red is a man Rip.
-
Which one charges less?
-
yes.
the girl in the purple has a sort of "sly" sexy smile. the girl in the blue has an innocent smile. judging by looks, i'd say they've both got very friendly/outgoing personalities, and are fun to be around.
i would find it difficult to choose between the two. :aok
<<S>>
-
I think they may be sisters...........perhaps twins......who try not to look like eachother.
I have pale complexions........tan wins.......purple is my fav color.........this one is a no brainer. purple looks more wild.....a better bad girl...if you will.
-
1 looks like she has an adam apple the other is blocked. niether to manly looking.
-

Thats great .. <S>
On a side note, a bud of mine and his credit card got taken for a good ride with those Russian ladies.
-
Hard to say. Which one is more fun on a half bottle of vodka?

I disagree with your assessment;

-
The girl in blue isn't nearly as innocent as she attempts to appear.
-
Close, but Purple definitely.
-
The one in purple.... :D She would look good on the back of my bike.... ;)

Sweet..... :rofl If it was blue it would look like my HD..... :rofl Just needs a basket and a bell.
-
Like any bike, ya never know without a test ride.
-
The girl in blue isn't nearly as innocent as she attempts to appear.
:aok
Blue it is...
-
Too close to call, so call it a tie.
-
tie as in bind them in some sort of kinky two headed love creature or tie as in equally matched?
:noid
:O
-
Is that a verbal Rorschach test?
Tell me 88, what do you see here?
-
two dragons clinging to each other as they fall into a fiery ball of love.
why? what do you see?
-
Don't know about 88...but it looks like Che Guevara to me.
Purple needs some meat on her bones....too anorexic to appeal to me. Blue needs to stop laying out in the closet; no color to her.
-
Remember HiTech, if they get out of line working your corner outside the office, a simple back-hand will put anybody in line. :O ;)
-
I'll take neither....none. They both look like they could have been boys at one time.
-
BLUE!
-
Given the information that both are girls and its a matter of choosing...
Purple.
-
Blue
-
The cruel thing about growing older is ones high standards for women diminishes. That said, all 3 look good to me. :O :huh
Bravo!! :lol
-
Judging by their posture and non verbal communication I'd say there are 2 distinct personalities there. The blue is more reserved of the pair. The purple is the more aggressive and self assured of the two and more of a risk taker. The blue, while not totally shy is also somewhat self assured but not nearly to the extent of the purple. The blue is more reserved and thoughtful and likely to be able to get along by herself. The purple is more out going and expressive, a definitely more socially oriented than the blue. I'd say the blue likes quiet times more than the purple who is more of a "party" or activity driven.
This is interesting HT, what were you after here? It's obvious that the photo was taken in the Slavic area of the world. The "babushka" and the cyrillic writing as well as the small panel van indicate it's definitely not in the America side of the globe.
-
who took the picture hitech?
-
I like the one who won't divorce you and own the game afterwards.
-
heh.
:noid
-
purple
-
Blue looks friendly and wholesome, the kind of girl you take home to meet your mom. Purple looks feisty and dangerous, the kind of girl you take to Vegas.... what do I win?
-
purple
-
Who wants jello?
-
I would seriously court each, but the gal I would approach first would be on the right.
-
The purple looks like a man.
Here's a real woman for ya RATT.
-
Absolutely purple. The picture is at an unflattering angle and you can tell she's far hotter than the picture makes her look.
-
More photos are needed.
-
Depends on which one, if either, can fry chicken and make gravy.
-
Why do I sense HT setting up a rope-a-dope?
:noid,
Wab
-
:rofl you guys fell for it! That's HiTech and Skuzzy in drag you nancy boys :lol
-
Ooh, I read that Wab and got a real sick feeling that we may have voted on passable XY trickery. I'm breaking hard left and running for friendly ack. :D

My favorite picture of purple.

hmmm... can she cook a mean chicken fried steak? :D
-
Purple has my name on her shirt, therfore I must have her!..no seriousily ...right now!!!!!!!!!! :devil
-
I still say we need more pics :) Is there a swimsuit part of this pageant??
-
Well there goes CT down the tube, HT has discovered women...

Then can I have Blue ?
:aok

blue
-
Also the first picture was taken in Kharkov Ukraine.
-
I bet they wear swimsuits in the Ukraine...
Make sexy, make sexy forrrrr <roll r's for long time> me. :aok
-
What have you done with Oleg Maddox's daughters? :devil :D
-
I'll take neither....none. They both look like they could have been boys at one time.
:rofl :lol :rofl :lol
-

Both women are gorgeous. I thought purple was a bit prettier; my wife thought blue was. I want to read the story though. What brought you to the Ukraine? How did you happen upon these women? Why did you leave? Did you take the picture above? What’s next?

Blue is my preferred girl. However, if my wife were to find out I posted, I may get shot down and go down in flames.
-
Both. :rofl :aok :devil
-
purple looks softer in the second picture.
much more attractive.

Looks like a Romulan warship to me.
HT, I wouldn't kick either out of bed. ;)

I always thought the green women were hot.
-
Throw us a bone here, hitech. What's the purpose of asking our judgement?
-
I have a buddy who recently married a Ukrainian woman. VERY STRONG OPINIONS about everything.
-
I'm beginning to understand now why the server went down a few weeks ago.
:P
Mac
I'd say Blue one HT, less mileage and prolly still under warranty.
Just a guess.
:D
-
The one on the left, I prefer a bit of a tan, plus she's clearly hugging the other chick (who has her hands behind her back appearing somewhat reserved). So the one of the left is probably a bit more exciting in bed :D
p.s. ht... this is mater:
-
The bottom line here is that all Ukranian women end up looking like the woman in the background....eventually. I've met some hot looking American women in their 60's, but never a Ukranian woman in her 60's.....
-
"Hey Olga, remember vat ve vere talking about? HiTech'z into eet, too!"
And thusly the roommate theory was proven.
-
I'd prefer them both.
At the same time preferably (dont ask a question you dont want an honest answer to"
Kinda hard to pick one over the other.
Would depend what I was looking for.
the one in blue looks like she would be more responcable.
While the one in purple looks like she would be more fun.
But if you held a gu to my head and said I had to pick only one.
I'd have to take the one in purple.
I married a responcable one.
Been there done that.
Good to connect with but after 20+ years zzzzz,,,,zzzzz,,,zzzzz
I want some fun!
-
The one in purple Alyona, is my wife to be. I met her last October.
She sent me that picture from yesterday of her and her friend, Alyona is 30,and her friend 22. For some reason Alyona thinks her friend is much better looking than her. I simply said I would put it to a vote, so I did.
HiTech
-
and how is Skuzzy taking this?
-
I think the one in purple is very pretty and I do prefer a woman with a tan. :aok
-
lol
All those who claimed they looked like men go directly to HT's sh*t list.
-
Marry the Purple one and adopt the Blue one... problem solved!
:aok
Mac
Dude you really should be online with her and not on a cartoon aeroplane BBS....
:rofl

Congrats HT! Don't take my vote for blue as anything against your choice- just not a fan of the tan, man. Melikes 'em light. Does her friend like uber cool cartoon pilots named after an aging, angry, moderately popular punk rocker? ;)

Congratulations! What an exciting thing to be engaged! :)
-
and how is Skuzzy taking this?
:rofl
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", while cliche, is apparently true...
I'll go with blue. Purple's a little thin for my tastes. Daddy likes the rough n tumble.
-
Mail order?
Tasteless? :aok
-
HA!
HT likes the fun one!
Wise choice old boy. Both for now and in the future.
:aok :aok
The one in purple will probably maintain her appearances well into the future.
While the one in Blue is destined to... Well lets just say
EXPAND considerably.
How do I know?
Well my wife used ot have that exact same body style :furious :cry
-
Marriage huh? I think we all can schedule a "Fly By" for ya HT.
:rofl
Naw I've been married now 28 Years now... best thing that ever happened to me...
psst... the wifey is lookin over my shoulder.... okay she's gone now....
After a few Years you'll learn to just sit and happily bark at the parked cars.

-
congrats hitech.
:aok
she'll make a beautiful bride.
-
Is it too late to say Purple??? :lol Congrats HT!!! :aok
-
Congratulations! What an exciting thing to be engaged! :)
Its always amazed me how women get so exited over and engagement or marriage.
Where as men just state it matter of flatly.
And usually its a month or two before we even admit we're engaged outside of a small circle of friends LOL
Probably because deep down inside we know what we are in for. But some primal instinct forces us to do it anyway. ;)
Don't get em wrong.
Marriage is a great institution.
But think about it.
When was the last time you really wanted to be institutionalized? :P
-
For me, purple hands down. Got a bit of the "exotic" look, and don't look all cuty cuty like her friend. you kick in a tree and there's 10 "blue ones" falling. Plus the "blue one" might not age too well. (I hope I didn't make anyone cry:pray).
-
We should all crash the Wedding...Squeakers to the rear... old farts up closer.
*cough* N00B..... *cough, cough* Dweeb.... *stiffled laughter*
Makin them airplane noises " rorrrr rummmm" and "tak-a-takka" gun sounds when we throw rice.
Someone would screw it up and yell "Check 6" and we'd all be banned to Hell.
Never mind... bad idea.
Congrats HT

Better yet.
We can throw HT a bachelor party.
And we can hire the "Sexy Salsa Dancer." To give him his last hurra
We could ruin his honeymoon by having her give him a lapdance......
Naaa. Dont wanna do that.
We can pay extra and have her give SKUZZY a lap dance. :D

Maybe hit up a local taxidermist for a couple of sheep and tie them to the bumper of the Limo...
Ummm you WILL have a Limo right HT?
;)
Imagine a Limo draggin two sheep thru Grapevine with the words...
"Jussssst" "Marrrrrried" on them.
:rofl
I better stop now... there's a dark cloud overhead.
:D

Congrats hitech. Without giving a specific date(unless you want to), can you specify the month? That way your Maker's Mark stock will grow. :)
Oh, and I tried some Maker's in Minnesota 3 weeks ago. I have a new whiskey I love!

Okay, Skuzzy should not let him marry until Tour of Duty AH2 is out! :rock

Congratulations! Wow, huge news. She’s moving to Texas I presume?
How’s the citizenship and legal stuff going? I have a German friend who married an American; he said the process was relatively quick and simple. From others I’ve heard it can be extremely difficult. Make sure that you do everything exactly right; the immigration folks can make it awful if you don’t do everything right. Get a lawyer who knows this stuff inside and out. I think education and work experience can be a real benefit, does she have any perks in that area?
How’s her English, or your Russian? Can she spell?
-

My favorite picture of purple.

Blue's the thinner one, and the one that'd look worst (by far) with weight added. Purple's better looking by a long way, now that I look again.
-
Blimey.
Congratulations HT. Where'd you meet her?
And you damn well better be having your stag night in Amsterdam.......
-
Congrats HT.
Looks like a keeper.
-
I am a fan of fair skin and blue eyes, so my choice is obvious . . .
The gal in purple.
(whew, avoided the PNG there!)

if you just tuned in....
it's a trick question.
don't answer it.

Edit- Dangit HT. I hate trick questions

<S> Dale, Congratulations! Hope the 2 of you are very happy, and have a wonderful life.
Now get back to coading before she gets here and we lose you! :aok :lol just kidding!

congrats to both, and best wishes for a happy life together !!!

Though I'm not sure why you want to break up the set. They are both beautiful.
cheers,

So... the one in the background is still free? :pray

Both women are very attractive and I'm sure both have qualities that would make any man happy.
However, I have some questions. You said it was asked by one of the women which was more attractive and you said you would post it, so does she have internet access and is she familiar with the bbs? Is she familiar with the O'club? Is there a chance she's going to be reading the replies here?
Just wondering if you might be in the doghouse before you get a chance to say "I DO"........

PM me and I'll give you the details on membership.

Girl on left. And make sure you get prenap..and other legal documents (no to child / spouse support)
-
my opinion. what a costly mistake you are about to make, both emotionally and financially. I don't know you so it's no skin off of hide but I shudder at the thought. marriage is difficult enough with someone of your own culture and generation what you contemplate is a recipe for disaster. having typed my negitivity if you decide to go through with the marriage then I pray that you can buck the odds and I sincerely wish you all the best.

I wish you all the best HiTech! I don't have a translator program, but find one and memorize the following:
"Yes dear"
"Of course you are right, dear"
"No, I'll cook tonight, dear....do you want Cinccinatti Chili or grilled sirloins?"
(Me and the wife have been married 25 years, together for 31 this October 15th--I DO have some experience in this area.)

One thing that I’ve observed in marriage announcement type threads: Men who have had bad experiences with marriage will (wisely) advise others not to marry and if they must to be sure to legally protect themselves as much as possible. Those of us who have had good experiences with marriage will (wisely) advise others that marriage is the best and most rewarding experience of life. Trying to look at it objectively I can say that every couple is unique and complex. Really, the best predictors of a successful marriage are the people involved. Someone who is: mature, fair, emotionally stable/void of addiction, giving and realistic stands a good chance at having a successful marriage. This is especially true when they are paired with someone else who also is well prepared. The trick is evaluating your partner.
There certainly are some disadvantages with marrying someone from a different country/culture; there most likely also are many advantages. The people themselves are much greater variables than the cultural backgrounds, however.
I’ll stick with Congratulations!

I've been married 31 years with no thought of ever getting out. marriage has been a very good deal for me but I married within my culture and a woman who is my contemporary. in my opinion these two factors alone contribute greatly to the success of the marriage. I have seen friends enter into marriages similar to the subject union and most have ended and the one that remains the man suffers through because of the financial hardship that the dissolution of the union would create for him. with regard to this topic I stated if he goes through with it I wish them only the best.

What ROX said !! :D
Also...you might practice saying :
"Yes dear, I'm getting off the computer right now"
"You are right about that...how could I have been so stupid?"
"It's OK honey...I know you have those headaches... :uhoh"
My first marriage was the worst, costliest mistake of my life. I'm on my second time around, and so far things have been OK.
You may find that her current enthusiasm for all the things you enjoy might fade a bit once she gets you to sign on the dotted line. From my own experience and virtually all the guys I've talked to this seems to be the case. The courting phase is the most fun.
Anyway that's the opinion of an old twice-married guy.
That said...Best Wishes to you both ! :)
She looks like a lovely woman.

I've known half a dozen or so mixed culture marriages and all have done quite well.

Just curious here HT. Have you met them both?
How close was I on the description?
BTW Congrats and when will you surrender your bachelorhood.
-
Mav, I have not met the girl in blue, but your description of Alyona is not very accurate. She is much more of an introvert than extrovert.
But how exactly do you know about babushkas?
-
I'd say....wait another day. Well, thats "I'll pass".

How about the YEAR you're getting married?

Two weeks.

Joker
Wow joker... thats a fairly negative view. I'll be married 10 years this November. Happy and still going strong. Wife even approved purchase of a gun recently.

So how'd ya meet?
She's a beautiful woman. One of the programmers I used to work with was from the Ukraine. His wife was always trying to play matchmaker with all her old friends back home. Phew, not a bad looking one of them but she insisted we'd have to learn Russian and chat with them on our own. Heck that required effort, so she didnt get many of us guys to write em.
There no, ahem, shotgun involved in this now, is there? :huh :lol

I have a buddy who recently married a Ukrainian woman. VERY STRONG OPINIONS about everything.
I married a lady from Brasil that seems to have VERY STRONG OPINIONS about everything. Of course the lady i was previously married to from the USA followed that same bent...

The one in purple Alyona, is my wife to be. I met her last October.
She sent me that picture from yesterday of her and her friend, Alyona is 30,and her friend 22. For some reason Alyona thinks her friend is much better looking than her. I simply said I would put it to a vote, so I did.
HiTech
Congratulations!! I know that feeling :)

So, how is that marriage going Mark? Was it the right decision? Don't answer if she browses the AH internets...

It was the best decision I ever made. Period. I should have married her 4o years ago. It is a very different life experience for me. A woman can do that to you.
Hiya JB :) I lurk in here a lot, just don't post as much as before.

HT,
Oh well, it's hard to make much of an assessment from a single photo. I just tried to cover personality since both were lovely and lots of other folks already commented on their looks.
I was familiar with the term 'Babushka" from previous reading I had done. In the photo the older woman fit the sterotype perfectly with the scarf, age and the fact that she's supplementing her income by selling food on the sidewalk.
That's certainly not something only in the slavic area either. You can see the same kind of thing in Hispanic areas of the world. There's just no term for them like in the slavic side.
-
Babushka, directly translated, means grandmother. Colloquially, it's a term that is universally applied to elderly women, and does not require the scarf and wart on the nose.

Hmmm, I just whizzed into this thread and posted Blue without reading all the background. Just shows when it comes to beauty, younger wins nearly every time.
Now that I have perused the entire thread, congrats big time, HT, but be very very careful. My son and his wife were happily married for 17 years until she decided she needed something else and split. She is in her early 40s, classic mid life crisis time, but way beyond the proverbial 7-year-itch. Their three boys are living with my son. Might be one of those California trendy Gee Everybody Is Divorced So Why Aren't We? things.
Any divorce has the potential to severely strain even the most solid financial foundation. I know you want to provide for your wife, and my son is still protective of his ex and still wants to make sure she is okay, but do seriously consider a rock solid prenumptial agreement or other protection for all of the financial security you have worked so hard to achieve.
Yes wives have rights to financial resources for sharing themselves in marriage blah blah blah, but it can still be a travesty when the real wage earner gets crucified in the divorce settlement, e.g., my son's ex left him, has no job, and has no marketable skills that come anywhere close to his earning capability. She just lives off what he has to send her every month.
Everyone has a right to his or her own pursuit of happiness, including divorce if and whenever. But main providers also have a right to keep the results of their labor. So when a low provider marries a high provider, look way ahead and see how that might be divided if things turn sour sometime in the future.
Many states have 50-50 splits for any divorce. I recently heard a talk radio show where several guys revealed how women had burned them badly sometimes after only a year or two of marriage and sometimes even after just living together.
Having said all that -- and please do heed that advice -- may you and your bride-to-be live, love, and prosper forever!
