The one in purple Alyona, is my wife to be. I met her last October.

She sent me that picture from yesterday of her and her friend, Alyona is 30,and her friend 22. For some reason Alyona thinks her friend is much better looking than her. I simply said I would put it to a vote, so I did.

Grats man!

She got a sister? :P

Congrats HT!!

Both women are very attractive and I'm sure both have qualities that would make any man happy.

However, I have some questions. You said it was asked by one of the women which was more attractive and you said you would post it, so does she have internet access and is she familiar with the bbs?  Is she familiar with the O'club? Is there a chance she's going to be reading the replies here?

Just wondering if you might be in the doghouse before you get a chance to say "I DO"........

Congrats hitech. Without giving a specific date(unless you want to), can you specify the month? That way your Maker's Mark stock will grow. :)

Oh, and I tried some Maker's in Minnesota 3 weeks ago. I have a new whiskey I love!

my opinion. what a costly mistake you are about to make, both emotionally and financially.  I don't know you so it's no skin off of hide but I shudder at the thought.  marriage is difficult enough with someone of your own culture and generation what you contemplate is a recipe for disaster.  having typed my negitivity if you decide to go through with the marriage then I pray that you can buck the odds and I sincerely wish you all the best.

I wish you all the best HiTech!  I don't have a translator program, but find one and memorize the following:

"Yes dear"

"Of course you are right, dear"

"No, I'll cook tonight, dear....do you want Cinccinatti Chili or grilled sirloins?"

(Me and the wife have been married 25 years, together for 31 this October 15th--I DO have some experience in this area.)

One thing that I’ve observed in marriage announcement type threads:  Men who have had bad experiences with marriage will (wisely) advise others not to marry and if they must to be sure to legally protect themselves as much as possible.  Those of us who have had good experiences with marriage will (wisely) advise others that marriage is the best and most rewarding experience of life.  Trying to look at it objectively I can say that every couple is unique and complex.  Really, the best predictors of a successful marriage are the people involved.  Someone who is: mature, fair, emotionally stable/void of addiction, giving and realistic stands a good chance at having a successful marriage.  This is especially true when they are paired with someone else who also is well prepared.  The trick is evaluating your partner.

There certainly are some disadvantages with marrying someone from a different country/culture; there most likely also are many advantages.  The people themselves are much greater variables than the cultural backgrounds, however.

I’ll stick with Congratulations!

I have the date of your wedding available if you need the services of a Disc Jockey/ Entertainment Company  :aok

(even if I have have the day booked, I'll cancel what I have booked if you can put me on a permanent non-PNG list, and give Stampf a new German aircraft of his choosing by the end of the year)   :)

Congratulations sir, and many blessings.

I've been married 31 years with no thought of ever getting out.  marriage has been a very good deal for me but I married within my culture and a woman who is my contemporary.  in my opinion these two factors alone contribute greatly to the success of the marriage.  I have seen friends enter into marriages similar to the subject union and most have ended and the one that remains the man suffers through because of the financial hardship that the dissolution of the union would create for him.  with regard to this topic I stated if he goes through with it I wish them only the best.

I'll know he's married when suddenly the landscape in AH is adorned with pretty flowers and shrubs...and the buildings have matching window treatments....
