If so, what is your favorite sport to watch?

Rowing, but that's because I compete in that sport.

So, no, I won't be watching, because NBC will be covering the swimming prelims, every second of  gymnastics, whatever controversy arises, and 'what life is like in the athlete village', while other sports are having their finals.

In Seoul, they covered a Korean boxer sitting in the ring moping about a (what he considered) a bad referee call while the mens single scull finals was being raced.

NBC does a piss poor job on Olympic coverage.

Olaf Tufte has some serious Kiwi competition... depending on how his training has been this last year, it may be tough to defend.  I think he was third or fourth in Munich 2007 world championships.

Unsure about his form too, but usually he focuses on topping it for olympic games. A gold is not 100% sure this time though.

Ditto.  This year, however, I'll be rooting for the slime.

I enjoy the diving, and swimming events

BUT.......

This year is going to the the FIRST time that BMX is going to be held as an Olympic sport. Yeah I'll be watching that one. I've seen pics of the track they built over there and it is a monster. Suitable for the X Games. Going to be lots of speed, big air, pain, and blood.  Can't wait.

Rip, don't have TV.  But in the past, I've subscribed for cable just for the Olympics.  Might do it again.

The unpopular sports I disliked as a kid, I now like to watch: (apologies in advance if I list something that IS NOT an olympic sport.  Fencing, archery, shooting, badminton (why not! :), the olympic version of . . . what's it called, they use a small ball and try to toss it in a net or something like that, was weird, . . . would love to watch some good track and field.  Again, the less popular interest me.  As well as those gut wrenching long sprints, 440's and others.

And as others have said, javelin, sailing, rowing.  All that sort of thing.

Ohh, found a list:

Aquatics   Canoeing   Hockey   Table Tennis
Archery   Cycling   Judo   Taekwondo
Athletics   Equestrian   Modern Pentathlon   Tennis
Badminton   Fencing   Rowing   Triathlon
Baseball   Football   Sailing   Volleyball
Basketball   Gymnastics   Shooting   Weightlifting
Boxing   Handball   Softball   Wrestling

Judo, that would be cool.  Learn something new.  "Hockey" must be field hockey.  Why not??!
