Obama The Patriot - Removes American Flag From His Plane
Barack Obama recently finished a $500,000 total overhaul of his 757.
And as part of the new design, he decided to remove the American flag from the tail.
What American running for President of the United States would remove the symbol of his country?
And worse, he replaced the flag with it with a symbol of himself.
What will he do to Air Force 1 if he does get elected President?
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/airplane.asp
-
Well maybe that flag on the tail belongs to North American?
There might be some infringement on North American if he kept it.
-
Well according to snopes he still has the flag by the N number of the aircraft. Of course he has his own symbol up there. As long as he's campaigning it's all about him, not the country. Then again that may not be any change than from before, just that he's selling it on a larger market.
-
Perhaps he's trying to tell us something?
-
I see McCain's plane has a huge flag on it.

-
I can see him pushing for a new motto on our currency. In Obama we trust.

The replacement of North American's commercial markings included the removal of two stylized U.S. flag images which are used in the airline's logo (a registered trademark of that company). The North American flag/logo on the forward portion of the fuselage was removed and the one on the tail was replaced with the Obama "O" campaign logo, while the traditional depiction of the U.S. flag adjacent to the plane's registration number was retained:
-
If North American is a flag carrier, they are required to display the national flag of the country of their registry, typically done on both sides near the registration number.
Anything other flag is a variable part of their paint scheme.

Sir Bedevere: Tell me. What do you do with witches?
Peasant 1: Burn them.
Sir Bedevere: And what do you burn, apart from witches?
Peasant 1: More witches.
Peasant 2: Wood.
Sir Bedevere: Good. Now, why do witches burn?
Peasant 3: ...because they're made of... wood?
Sir Bedevere: Good. So how do you tell whether she is made of wood?
Peasant 1: Build a bridge out of her.
Sir Bedevere: But can you not also build bridges out of stone?
Peasant 1: Oh yeah.
Sir Bedevere: Does wood sink in water?
Peasant 1: No, no, it floats!... It floats! Throw her into the pond!
Sir Bedevere: No, no. What else floats in water?
Peasant 1: Bread.
Peasant 2: Apples.
Peasant 3: Very small rocks.
Peasant 1: Cider.
Peasant 2: Gravy.
Peasant 3: Cherries.
Peasant 1: Mud.
Peasant 2: Churches.
Peasant 3: Lead! Lead!
King Arthur: A Duck.
Sir Bedevere: ...Exactly. So, logically...
Peasant 1: If she weighed the same as a duck... she's made of wood.
Sir Bedevere: And therefore...
Peasant 2: ...A witch!

Yep 4 years is ALL it will be if he should get elected.
We might see things like term limits become a reality if he gets elected and the congress is a dem majority.

Oh and Kleenex too.
Cant forget to buy stock in Kleenex.
And maybe and umbrella company.

Barack Obama recently finished a $500,000 total overhaul of his 757.
I'm voting for Obama.
Anybody who can spend only $500,000 and get a total overhaul of a 757 deserves to take his fiscal prowess to the White House.

You can choose to refuse to put together a series of events that might signal a persons character, but many won't make the same choice and will notice a trend.
-
"N"obama is going to make mistakes. he's going to make lots of mistakes. but he seems to have no problem reversing his stances if it will get more votes. he just flipped on off shore drilling. mistakes are common for someone with practically NO EXPERIENCE!! in any field. Why would politics be any different.
He has 153 days of federal senate experience. Hell, Monica Lewinsky was more qualified.
153 days experience
153 days experience
I dont care what party he is in.
he is not experienced enough to preside over the USA at this point in his career.
our enemies would love to have this greenhorn in office.

So rather than calling BS on somebody and asking for proof, you continue with old rumors on somebody else...
Okie Dokie.
-
I hear Obama is gonna get rid of our flag all together, and repeal the 2nd amendment all by himself, and hire Al Queda to handle the disposal of our radioactive waste, and let queers marry donkeys, and require all citizens to wear seat belts...even when they're not in a car!

The word overhaul is a stretch :lol $500K is most likely the cost of the repaint alone.
I doubt anymore than that was done being that the 757 is chartered and not really his.
-

That's pretty much the jist of this whole thread isn't it? I mean if we are spreading unfounded rumors based upon conjecture it fits right in, right?

I hear he carpeted the 757 with the scalps of conservative/Republicans and his leather seats are from the skins from the backs of the same conservatives.
Some of you really scare me, I am not a fan of Obama, but I don't need to create 'evidence' to show he isn't a good candidate.

Just look at the mess all those WITH experience have gotten us into the last 50 years

That, and George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, never had congressional experience. Niether did Grant, Eisenhower, Reagan, T Roosevelt, F Roosevelt, Wilson, Carter, or WJ Clinton.
Lincoln was an undistinguished one term Illinois Representative, serving two eight month sessions. 16 months and maybe 320 days of legislative days, if that much.
-
Quit confusing everyone with facts, Holden. We all know removal of an American flag from anything disqualifies the perpetrator from PTA membership and crossing guard duty.
-
You can choose to refuse to put together a series of events that might signal a persons character, but many won't make the same choice and will notice a trend.
you do not refuse symbols just because. Wars have been fought for symbols.
A piece of whatever is worthless, but the symbol (an idea, a concept, a statement... ) it conveys is worth dying for.
-

sorry, no comparison in my opinion. The first 3 on your list shouldn't even be mentioned as that was in the early stages of our country and fledgling government.
Obama will have all major decisions made for him by "advisors". that is what is happening know.
comparing Obama to any of the above is very poor judgement.
Carter was argueably a poor president and Clinton was impeached.
The rest were statesmen and patriots. Most had military experience.
How many of our allies and enemies for that matter would consider Obama either a statesman or a patriot.
Obama has no ideas on how to fix things, only a steady stream of complaining about the current situation.(depending on the stage he has at the moment)
Hillary would have been a better choice than Obama. At least she has many years of government knowledge and experience to help her.
No single candidate has all the answers, but Obama doesn't seem to have any.
-
Some of you really scare me, I am not a fan of Obama, but I don't need to create 'evidence' to show he isn't a good candidate.
I feel the same way. All final candidates get their planes repainted as he did. I was just pointing out that it wasn't a total overhaul just a new livery. Overhaul makes it sound like hes fly'n on the Soul Plane or something . :D
-
of topic, so sorry
Atta boy. That's the funkie I want to see here. Stop those stupid one-liners and talk.
At least I'll listen.

There's an upside to an Obama win. The Republicans might actually run a real "conservative" candidate next election (if they can find one in the current party). Maybe even a -- dares not think it -- a libertarian leaning chap. No, that wont happen. But at least not a slate of total tools like they did this time around.
For the Democrats, Obama promises the kind of rude awakening for the Dem "my party right or wrong" die hards that Bush provided for their Republican counterparts. I can see Obama trying to be all things to all democrats from the southern conservatives to the big city limo liberals to the inner city "where's my Govt. cheese" set and failing at all. Ted K will keep trying to cram his hand up his butt in puppet master mode, Hillery will be sniping for 2012, the Chicago Dem machine will be milking him for the pork, his corporate masters will be fighting against the save the whales and redistribute the wealth set... almost worth the price of admission.
He really is an amature, and he has an attitude and that makes him much more like four more years of Bush than the much more experienced politician, McCain. And I think it will show.

I agree. As an Illinois resident I believe that from seeing how he has supported the Crook County Democratic machine at the state and federal level as an agent AGAINST change. Typical party hack. Don't hate the man, just marvel at those who buy into his rhetoric without doing the most minimal research into his limited career. of course, they will expect him to deliver that vacuous "change" somehow... He's CHANGE MAN!
Of course, I don't see a huge difference between the Democrats and Republicans anymore. Both sides of the same coin, both big Govt., both working (though in somewhat different ways) to bring in the nanny state and waste my money, both working to errode the Bill of Rights (though with different Amendments in the crosshairs).

What wonderful things have all those in Washington with "experience" brought you lately?
All these "experienced" politicians have done little more then run this country into the ground.
Things both parties had a hand in through both action and inaction,
Sold our country to the Japaneese, and now the Chineese.
Sold out to North Korea
Persued an energy policy everyone knew was going to eventually lead to disaster, that we are now starting to paying for.
Frittered away billions in social programs that dont work. And Cut programs that did.
The War on Drugs,
The War on poverty
Allowed us to go from the #1 producing nation the the #1 consuming nation.
Failed and continue to fail to do jack in protecting our boarders. Thus perpetuating the strain on health care and social services.
The debacle known as Viet Namn.
Ripped off social security to the point where there isnt enough funds.
Damn near abandoned our veterans.
Strict partisan politics. With one side continually blaming the other for things they both screw up together.
One side taking sides against the other side no matter how good or bad the idea simply because it came from the other side.
Constantly shifting education policies
Watergate, Iran Hostage Crisis, Iran Contra, Osama Bin Ladin, Whitewater, Somalia, The Market fiasco of the 90's. The Housing fiasco of this decade.
The Patriot act.
The neutering of our military during combat operations.
Overspending (examples 600 toilet seat,$400 hammer) As well as the general mismanagement of funds and horrid domestic policies
(Seems to me Perot warned and was pretty accurate about exactly whats happening now "that Giant Sucking sound"
A bloated government
I could go on and on and probably fill up several pages of posts.
But I think I make my point
"Experience" If it wasnt for real. It would make for great comedy

Bob, no offense here but you really might want to just slowly back away from your keyboard and save yourself any further embarassment. If you are trying to convince anyone to not support Obama and support McCain, well, your probably doing the exact opposite.
You are making McCain supporters seem ignorant and immature. I know that most are upstanding people; your just doing a good job of keeping stereotypes in place.
And further: don't make the argument that everyone should go learn english when you obviously still have yet to gain a rudimentary grasp upon it. Here, you may need this, I used some big words:

Must be his lack of experience that you feel is going to "point the way to our bright future"
some of the problems you state are problems in your eyes and opinion, but maybe not others.
Probably most of the true problems you state were because of "experienced" people who were still bad at what they do, both democrat and republican.
That doesn't change my opinion or the opinion of lots of other people because YOU feel he is qualified.
