We are going camping/fishing in Canada. I know they don’t allow firearms into Canada, but how about BB guns? If so, do they care if they look like an M-16 or a Win 94?

Firearms are allowed in Canada
links for permits are below however if you are looking to bring a bb gun in check the last link.

In this link you will find.
Air guns that are replica firearms
These are air guns that are not powerful enough to cause serious injury or death, but that were designed to resemble a real firearm with near precision. Replica firearms, except for replicas of antique firearms, are classified as prohibited devices.

Yeah they can't look like real guns, AND must fire less than 500 feet per minute - otherwise, they're "firearms".
Give it a few years, and making a gun-gesture-with-your-hand will also be a "firearm".

Just for grins count how many times they ask you if you brought something to "defend yourself".
On the other hand the news both on the peninsula as well as West Canada (Vancouver Island) are all talking about the 5 human feet that have washed up on shore. Four on Vancouver Island and one on the Olympic Peninsula. DNA tests are being performed to see if they match any missing persons.

Been proven to be a hoax.

What part of my post are you claiming to be a hoax?

Yeah, the FOP stickers get peeled off the windshield when I go north to hunt Moose and Caribou.
In fairness Ive been treated well by the Canadians. But I dont want my truck tossed just cause of stickers on a windshield.
-
Who has FOP stickers on their car Rich? I never had them on any of my vehicles.
-
What issue do they have with FOP (Fraternal Order of Police?) stickers?
Or do I not have the right FOP...?
-
Golfer,
The Canadian Customs folks would be able to assume that the driver or occupant was associated with firearms and in particular hand guns. Bringing a pistol in the country would be a very bad thing.

No, the shoe that they found that was a hoax is not counted in this list. These feet (mostly right) don't seen to have a connection. Although they did find that DNA from a suicidal man matched one. Gives closure to the family. :aok

Weve had plenty of guys get their cars tossed cause the Canadian Police see an FOP sticker.
Weve also had a few boneheads try and bring a handgun over, either thru ignorance or stupidity. A guy I walked a foot beat with tried it and got caught. His exuse was stupidity. He now knows to respect the Laws of another nation when you enter it and he's lucky they didnt push it, "tho they probably would now".
