WoW or Everquest 2 my friend!
-
Jaxxo hope you change your mind, your always fun to fight :salute

I play Everquest in a major raid guild and also play AH. They are very different experiences so tend to prevent you from burning out on either one. Moderation is the key....;)
-
i mostly play Americas Army now.
i know what youre say Jax

it seems to me most of the big shot hot aces and old folks of AcesHigh are getting bored.

Probably just a dry spell. Seems like a bunch of us hit the wall about the same time. Life gets busy, the game feels more like work. Take a bit of a break, see how it feels later.

if anyone goes to warbirds and gets the month free trail if you download it you also download like 5 or so other games with it.
in those 5 games is a game called Dawn of Aces.
it is WW1 Biplanes,

I know what you mean Jaxxo. I've been playing for over 2 years now, and I find myself loging in less and less. When you first start it was just too musch fun! You're learning how to fly each plane to its best, making friends, making enemies, joining squads, and landing kills. Then there's nothing else to learn. You've learned each plane fairly well, you find it harder to find fights, and everything is the same. I took a few weeks off a while back, and one day decided to try it out again. Started in the DA and soon went to the MA, and found it quite fun again! You may leave for a bit, but you can never leave for good! :salute

tacky, very tacky. Promoting a competitor's game, though one of greatly lesser quality but still tacky nonetheless.

Loser! Read the squad forums, Tue Thurs 9:00PM eastern slum time.

Ive been playing either Air Warrior or Aces High since 95 ish. I know what you mean, right now I'm playing Wolfenstein Enemy Territory online and taking a summer break. Wolf ET is all free, like Aces the online players are globaL.
ps I don't cancel my Aces subscription, I just take a break every now and again.

Ummmm, then don't log in...

Very well aware of the history of WB, having played the game myself during the HiTech years but it's no longer his game as you're most likely aware that he sold it around 10 years ago. Whether or not he created the game still doesn't change the fact that iEN's WB is a competitor and it's tacky to post trying to get others to move to the competition.

Well I think your being generous to call a 10 year old game a competitor to AH

And is yet a pale shadow of DOA II. When DOA III came out the WWI sim enthusiasts all disappeared. Funny, the same "flying in a bowl of glue" feel carried over with the new engine, even in aircraft that only could handle 150 MPH.
Wish HTC would use the engine they have here and make a great WWI sim. It would definately rock.

Funny, since Aces High has been around 8 years now.
Sounds about right. A 10 year old game competing with a 8 year old game.

<S> Effective use of the word 'tacky' should always be saluted. :salute

There are so many posts that I could quote, but I picked this one. The game is going where we let it go. "We pay the light bill in Texas." If HT has customer loyalty then things should change. That's business.
I have been playing for a year and a half under three identities and I have seen people come and go, but there is always a consistent corp group of vets that we can count on and no matter what people think about them as individuals, they keep the game going. I must admit I still have alot to learn about the game and if the talent starts to leave then this game will be left to the more inexperienced and their style of game play which is inconsistent and not very well thought out. The problem with the newer players(such as myself) is we don't ask for help or training. Personally, I need to spend much more time in the TA, otherwise how can I be an asset to my squad or country.
We need the veteran players in the community to keep the game going. Not just to educate the Noobs (Me. Yes after a 1 1/2 years I think I'm still noobish in my skills), but most importantly, the vets have seen the evolution of the game and the gameplay and their legitimate opinions should be a concern for HT.
Leaving won't solve anything. Maybe alittle break for some might bring back a thrill as mentioned by some in earlier posts, but leaving won't make it better for anyone.

DOA itself does not compete with AH2 since its a ww1 sim. Warbirds is though.

Ooo yeah.
I didn't log on to AH for almost a month because of this.

Keep in mind that Jaxxo came over from WB's. What we should be concerned about is if he starts showing an interest in muscle man magazines and old gladiator movies.

I think I can help some of these good sticks, understand why a "good fight" is soo hard to find. I'll use riding a dirt bike in lou of a plane,.....when ya first start, (no matter what your age) most everyone wants to go riding with ya,.. it's fun to throw big roost in yer face, blast down trails or tracks you've never been on, smokin your butt daily on a track his dad built him 15 yrs ago...... years go by, bike gets better, riding ability has gone way above your buddys abilitys,.... and ya take a weekend off of racing, and try to call those same buddys up to go riding with ya.........they aint around anymore. Go to the local practice track, somebodys always riding there......and there is,.until you unload your bike, then all the sudden everyone is too tired, wife just called,....bike broke,...fergot I had yoga class.......the list is endless, but the fact that EVERYONE quit when your bike hits the dirt. You soon realise, nobody will ride with you, if there is a chance they might look foolish in front of (another endless list) his girlfriend, his mom, his dad,.... his gramma that just bought him the bike, becouse he told her "this supercross thing will be easy" and I'll be rich in 3 yrs"...... Me shoooooot, life has booted my behind so many times, I couldn't care less who owns me in this world, Hopefully, others will dive in as well. Seriously, who reallycares how many deaths ya die in A/H????? I'm after fun, and a few good laughs, nothing more, nothing less, and by golly I think I get my 15.00 bucks worth a month. TY for a outlet A/H.
