My Squad "Precision (+) had been fighting eight against eight in the DA against other squads earlier in the year and having a great time. We have devised a set of rules that work well for these team challenges and don't make too much fuss about the outcome as it is usually fairly obvious who the better squad is without allot of hoo-har.
Its been fun and strengthened us as a team. I would like to take this opportunity to ask any other squad that can field those kind of numbers or similar to come and risk getting a kicking. The rules can be forwarded (and negotiated even) and a date set for a contest that lasts about 40 minutes to an hour.

(I don't know why people don't do more of this it really is the most fun I have had in this game)

Also you precision boys are welcome to join us any time on 189 in the MA and 289 in the DA :)

We have not had My2 for a while for non game reasons but he is coming back in the next couple of weeks.

Are you going to rise to the challenge then? we could put up our best 6 if you prefer. We do a last man standing thing with different plane sets taking it in turn to choose and having free choice rounds though no perked planes.

You tell me what you can get nos wise and we will match you on the day and if we have more we will rotate our guys so we all get a go unless of course we think we can beat you in which case it will be our best :lol

JG11 will be filing into the DA tonight around 8 -8:30 PM EST.
We would love 8 to 12 guys to fly the LA-5 against us in the Bf109G-6, and Fw190A-5 for about an hour or so. If interested and willing, we'll see ya up.

Sounds good we have 3 europeans (for you to try and snaffel :rofl) and if we could get a few U.S. ers up we could make it early evening I hope. Give me an idea of no.s when you can even 4 early evening would be worth it. I am pushing my lot hard to make a commitment which can take allot of patience. Good luck at your end ;) :salute

No Bullchit :rofl youll be lucky (if not sooner) as soon as the fight ends the excuses and bulchit starts. The fair minded know what really happened though ;)

Hahah. We're Aussies, there are no excuses in the DA. No pissweak nonsense about this and that. Whatever happens... happens. I fight fair and have a bloody good time doing it. Anyone making excuses can go get butter'd. :lol I'm only ever in there to learn things and have a good, intense fight. Win or lose, whatever... a quality fight is all that matters.
Hopefully we can sort something out in an Australian friendly time. :salute

These events are great fun and everybody learns something , we enjoy them alot and its a great way to meet other squads and players themselves , And most of all its a form of training that can't be beat , like a live fire exercise if you will and the rules we have are simple and work well .

So our best time for Scrimmage is a regular 2pm EST on a Sunday. Tuesdays I have to be saying my prayers by around 7pm EST. I think we can field a small squad (4-5) this Tuesday at 4.30EST if anyone wants to go for that spot and take us on. I am trying to get "The Few" for Sunday September 14th. I also think we can go as late as 5PM EST on a Sunday in general.
I think the starting point should be 4 a side with time differences and all but aim for about 8.
Anyway Prawns and Pigs can you get anything organised for those times and we can get started :pray
(Scrimmage got past the spell check which is good enough for me so let scrimmage go forward into history ;))

Her are the Scrimmage Rules edited for Clarity
Rule 1 / Altitude is 10 thousand feet maximum throughout the event . Rule 2 / The first merge is a cold merge but after that beware. This is supposed to be a dogfight but we dont want to start argueing about angles so if your Hoed its your own fault after the first merge.
Rule 3 / Start with an equal No. of pilots each side with one life per frame. (Once the issue is decided/clear see additional rule b)
Rule 4 / There are 3 Frames maximum:
Frame 1: Rules above apply you all fly whatever you like as long as its not perked in the game. The winning side is the one left flying at the end of each of 3 legs. This is a best of 3 legs to decide the frame.
Frame 2: The "Challenged" (usually our opponents as we issued the challenge) get to choose the plane (we all fly the same) that everyone flies eg Hurri 1 (individuals can decide on the loadout) for the first of 3 legs. We choose in the second Leg (Leg 2) and they in leg 3. Again this is the best of 3 legs.
IF at the end of Frame 2 the Score is one frame each we repeat Frame 1 as the decider.
Additional Rules;
a) The side with most players may initially rotate players so everyone has a go.
b) If it is obvious early on who is the stronger side we can fly for example 10 against five if we have 10 and they only have 5 and they are stronger or if we are stronger lend them some of ours for a good fight.
c) Have fun, dont take it too seriously and no whingeing.
d) If you are extending for more than 2 minutes you are running away which isnt allowed. If a Leg gets too boring we will call it a draw and re run it.
So in Summary up to 3 Frames of up to 3 legs each. Each leg is decided by which side is left flying. If you understand the minimum no. of legs to win the scrimmage is 4 youve got it. If you havent got it read it again :cool:

If they do tear us to pieces which is possible we can at least horde them once the issue has been decided (see rule b) the contest effectively already decided. If we still cant beat them when we are like 10-5 :o :o :o

Apologies for my Early absence as I was getting the g/f ack chronic. I didn't think it would take as long as it did reading the rules.
Anyway the concept is great and I know all of us had a fun time. If we had our "A" team together I would have agreed to the 6 vs 12 round but we still had some of our newer guys in there (not that it showed much :P)
A few tweaks in the rules and I think we can have a superb event for all squadrons in AH if either the CM staff or HTC staff wanted to get someone to host these squad duels every weekend in a more official way.

Yep, you definitely won the Mossie round - we thought it'd be fun to fly down the canyon, see if we could get any of ya to auger.... :D - obviously that didnt quite work out the way we planned...lol......I was in stitches when I could see all of you above us on the edge of the canyon (we should have upped 262's...that would have been funnier)

We thought this was quite likely but now we will go away, lick our wounds and challenge you again in the not too distant future with a stronger Precision (+).
If anyone else out there thinks "The Few" are a pushover I advise you to issue a challenge and see :O

These events are great and you get to meet the other folks who play this game which in it self is totally worthwhile IMO . So come on guys put your squads up to it , a live fire exercise , scrimmage is the way to train .
