Yeah the birds you see did not work well enough for the US to use.
-
The US used a lot of those in WW2. B-32 Dominator, the 'B-25H' but what stumps me is, that it has a razorback P-47M :huh

The F86 isn't on there. All the jet aircraft on there are wartime aircraft that were developed without the help of captured German aircraft (well, the P80 didn't see service until Korea, but was quite clearly not influenced by German technology).

LOL this shows just how totally ignorant some of you are. The MP44 was actually developed in response to the soviet PPsh-41. It is an exceptional and revolutionary weapon and is the 1st true assault rifle (vs a submachinegun or automatic rifle). It has nothing in common (beyond the concept) with the AK-47. A tremendous amount of academic exchange occurred in the 1930's....we see revolutionary advances incorporated by nations while the originating nation ignored it (Christie suspension to name one). Many of the German aviation concepts actually come from external or academic sources which inspired competing technologies (biggest would be the atomic bomb). The concept of the jet engine predates WW2 and every major power had a jet engine program of some kind by 1941.

LMAO a B17 with 5 engines?!

Yep. Kalashnikov himself said that the AK47 was not based on the StG44.

I drive by the museum with the Spruce Goose every once in a while. Have yet to stop and take a close look at it. I can see it from the road though, and that thing is really as huge as it looks... :O
