Armament similiar to the spitfire, 4 .303s and 2 20mm cannons. I say yes! Why can't the Aussies have their own plane in AHII?
-
I would have to agree with this.
Time to bring on the 40-43 fighters.

They do! They have many!!!!
They, uh, all just happen to be imported ;)

The link is a bit wacky. Hope it works. Anyway, the only way we'll see it is if we support the IAR 80 guys. How about it Treize?

Did they get the body style for the Boomerang from the P-40/P-36? Looks like it honestly.

Actually it was based on the AT-6 trainer aircraft.

Actually it was based on the AT-6 trainer aircraft.
Huh, now I'm even more surprised. That's pretty cool
Don't know how maneuverable it is, but I've been reading up on google, and I'm getting max speeds of 305 mph to like 350mph.
-
Here's to more variety. *Ding*
-
It's a cool plane but it probably would send me right back to the tower
Cheers,

Is it me or does that look similar to an f6?

It's you.
:t
-
Yes it would be a good add. :aok
-
I wouldn't be against having it, but its got a very limited scenario potential and would not see much MA use either. I'd rather see a Ki 43 for the SEAC scenarios.
-
Just like the Buffalo? :D

Wings aren't bent. What good is it?

I have but one question, you post this thread but would you fly the darn thing even though everyone uses planes armed with more fire power, greater speed, higher maneuverability and greater defense?
Just a small question... Think about that. ;)

I certainly would, your question would apply to many of the planes we have in game, like any plane, the p39d for instance, its not the best in many aspects, but there are circumstances that it can be used, field defence for instance, or just for the hell of it.
I agree its low on the priority list, lets get the Beaufighter first.

Boomerang has the same firepower as the Spitfires Mk V, VIII and IX and Seafire. Not too bad.

I would fly it a lot but I rarely take the sme aircraft up twice in a night
-
Lets get real old school with an Australian death trap then bung this one in the game.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAC_Wirraway Sorry for the thread steal.

The same reason people fly P-40s and Hurricane Is; it's fun.

For the same reason not everybody flies Spit 16's and N1K's.
For the same reason I fly the 109E and F when we have the G and K. Same reason I fly the 190A when we have the D. Same reason I fly the Stukas when when we have the 190F. They're fun aircraft to fly, period. And sometimes they even add some challenge where there is none :)

The Aussies manufactured the Beaufighter also. The MkXXI was manufactured in Australia under license. It had 4X50 cals along with the 4 Hispanos.
The Beaufighter...for its' record is truly a war winning aircraft. Its' contribution in many areas was valuable.
And yes.....the Boomerang belongs in AH as well. Was developed and tested quickly by the Australians. They considered that there may be a problem
of getting aircraft delieved from GB and the US. As a matter of fact Great Britain was of little help to Australia in the early war stages.
Great Britain in essence made them stand alone in the PAC. GB was concerned with GB and not Australia.

We all a bunch of Pommy convicts as far as they were concerned. Expendable

Just a previous thread on the Boomerang with some pics,

And I would still like to see it in the game...

If you look at it in the plan view, you would see that the wings are in fact bent.
