Great work.  Lots of insights.

Also, a reminder to avoid low and slow 109's lurking around the edge of a furball, it may be you-know-who.

Agent,I recomended these films to quite afew players.  :salute

Your throttle work alone is the part I stress.

 YMMV.

I am glad the films are helping.

But I must clarify that the REASON I made these films was in response to a post about what to do if someone is on your six. I purposly trolled around getting cons to get on my six. I wanted to show various methods of dealing with that situation and to show how important the throttle is in the 109.

I wanted to show that there ARE options other than running, calling out for help, going to ack...etc. One can actually do something about it if you are willing to pull the right moves and not worry about getting killed.

I don't recommend you troll around getting cons on your six as this is a very good way to get repeatedly killed and ganged.

Personally I find this quite fun and do it all the time. But I get killed alot doing it. There are many ways to get an advantage other than getting alt over every can and diving in.

For the 109 geeks the most important thing to learn from the films is how to manage the throttle and speed. In most planes speed is the key. But in 109's speed seriously reduces your ability to turn. So using throttle and flaps in combonation with verticle turning is the way to do. It is really about getting angles.

The 109k4 in particular has a powerful enough engine to overcome the turning ability of other planes by using tork and wing stalling to keep the angles going against a better turning plane.

The counter to most of the moves in the films is a simple lagging yoyo. If you set them up and they decide to brake off into a high yoyo your best counter to that is to straiten out and create as much seperation and speed for yourself as possible. Turn this into a low merge making the con continually NOSE DOWN for his shots. If you play it right you can use verticle turning and get your angles back.

Bump, for what are likely some of the best "training/learning" films on AH. Just recommended these to some squaddies and they could not find them on the BBS.

I learned a bit from these when I was new too some of those tactics can be tweaked a bit to work with other craft than just the 109 ^.^ I love how you narrate them too helped my retarded arse get the hang of the magic voodoo you doo in planes.

This is essentially a bump because these are great for new players.  Agent360 really helped me learn the 109 series through these films and a couple duels (I got pwned).

Thanks Agent for the great films sir! <S>

Great films, Agent360!  I noticed that in all these fights, you never get a stall buzzer nor do I see any buffeting when you pull tight turns.  Is this just lost in the film or are you actually flying the K without buffeting?  That's my biggest problem in a turnfight, and maybe im just pulling too hard.

Still a newb.

:salute Ardy and other 109 pilots. I've watched agent's films and have been working to become good at the 109K. I've managed to cause some overshoots, but rarely any quick kills (think my gunnery is below average). I usually fly DA and would love some help improving my flaps use and general E management so I can master this bird, or at least one of the 09's. I can put up a good fight one on one and sometimes land a kill or two, but add in more reds and I'm doomed. If one of you sharp sticks would like an apprentice, my in game callsign is Owlblink, or you could message me.

owlblink I hope what I showed you helped, I also showed sukov similar stuff (a little more advanced, albeit). If anyone else is interested or if you need more help, I'm always willing.

The more pilots who know how to fight, the better the game, (less reliance on running/ganging and hoing).

Right click the link and select "save as..." Save it to your desktop with the default name. Double click the file on your desktop to unzip it. Unzip it to your desktop. Double click the new folder on your desktop and then double click the film you wish to play. When the box opens that says something about locating a player, click on the browse button and browse your way to the C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II folder (in my case, your location might be different) and locate the "ahfilm.exe" file click the little box that says "aways use the file when open this type" and your set.

Everytime from then on when you double click a "xxxx.ahf" file it will open the film viewer and play the film with out the extra fuss.

Yes sir, the hammer reversal and learning about the engine torque has helped me out a lot. I was lucky enough to fly rooks on DA with Agent360 the other night, both of us in k-4's, and I was able to get three kills. Sadly, I ended up dieing afterwards, a bunch of angry pilots didn't like me

I'm always up for more advise and practice, maybe down the road we can dual again and you can see how far I've come along. What's helped me out is I try a lot harder to keep up my SA instead of focusing on a kill. Blazinn has also let me .join a few of his sorties, which has helped me see what I'm looking for in a fight. You guys  :rock !

Man, I'm always interested, as you know.  Give me a shout next time you're hitting the DA, I always need as much practice as possible.

Owlblink, if you're on and looking to DA, give me a shout man, I'm pretty much always game, not that I'm that good, but all practice helps.

Just wanted to say thanks Agent for those films. I'm not great, but I feel I know what I'm doing in a plane and even I learned a lot from watching them. Anyone wanting to learn the 109 or even just advanced maneuvers in any plane will benefit from watching these films. Thanks again Agent.

Yeah... you gotta kill the sounds in game and then go back to the film viewer.  Sounds in the film viewer seem to be MUCH louder than in the game.

I'm pretty sure they were at one time. Don't know why they were removed. I know I have them on disk and two different drives   :D

Most of the films are in K4 or F4. The G14 is very close to the K4. The difference is the g14 has better climb under about 4k and it is NOT as fast as the K4 but the g14 has a better turn radius.

Everything shown in the films will work just fine in a g14.
