I am glad the films are helping.
But I must clarify that the REASON I made these films was in response to a post about what to do if someone is on your six. I purposly trolled around getting cons to get on my six. I wanted to show various methods of dealing with that situation and to show how important the throttle is in the 109.
I wanted to show that there ARE options other than running, calling out for help, going to ack...etc. One can actually do something about it if you are willing to pull the right moves and not worry about getting killed.
I don't recommend you troll around getting cons on your six as this is a very good way to get repeatedly killed and ganged.
Personally I find this quite fun and do it all the time. But I get killed alot doing it. There are many ways to get an advantage other than getting alt over every can and diving in.
For the 109 geeks the most important thing to learn from the films is how to manage the throttle and speed. In most planes speed is the key. But in 109's speed seriously reduces your ability to turn. So using throttle and flaps in combonation with verticle turning is the way to do. It is really about getting angles.
The 109k4 in particular has a powerful enough engine to overcome the turning ability of other planes by using tork and wing stalling to keep the angles going against a better turning plane.
The counter to most of the moves in the films is a simple lagging yoyo. If you set them up and they decide to brake off into a high yoyo your best counter to that is to straiten out and create as much seperation and speed for yourself as possible. Turn this into a low merge making the con continually NOSE DOWN for his shots. If you play it right you can use verticle turning and get your angles back.
