Title: Uncapturable Bases in Center of Map

I think it would promote greater battles if there were 3 to 6 uncapturable bases on maps such as tank island.  If there were 3 vehicle bases, and 3 airfeilds it would promote more of a fighting, instead of the capture mentality.  This would only be implemented on larger maps where there are many bases that go a whole tour without flashing.  3/4 of the feilds on the larger maps never get touched, this would cause the different countries to branch out and explore new bases, while leaving a very nice furball in the middle.

Yea make all the TT bases on the NDIsles map uncapturable so i can have canstant fun.  :rock

I think that people actually trying to take the bases creates more fights. It draws attention and when the take fails, the fight goes on for another few hours at least...

Yeah! Let's make people not want to capture bases! It's not like the base-capture system is in here for a reason... I mean, who ever heard of capturing stuff in a war?!?

Ironic coming from someone I know doesn't do alot of capture stuff.   ;)

It would just be one additional uncapturable base per side anyway. 

Of course, the community could come up with some sort of self-policing to try to discourage the bases in question from being captured in the first place.  Try to "educate" the masses...?

lol. I used to. I still try to. It just seems any time I roll a mission, someone squeals and the defenders are ready before we're even off the ground.

 :huh I have brought this up before. I think ANY maps with a Tank Town/island or Fighter Town/island should keep those bases un-capturable. Makes sense to me. Gives everyone a place to have either furball or have GV battles for the duration of the map instead of having to go to the DA where most people have told me to go for furballin'. The heck with that, I like the MA much better.

I think base taking is fine but it needs some refinement, fighter hangers should be indestructable so that no base can be taken without opposition.  As it stands now with our EZ mode bombers the sop is take out the VH, FH, ords and take base after town is flat.

With my changes it would be deack field, maintain CAP, takeout VH, flatten town, take base, BUT the defender would have a chance to up fighters if he is determined.

IMHO this would add to more air to air fighting, without too much compromise.

WOW I've never seen a "to capture or not to capture" thread before. :rofl Everyone plays the game in their own way. Nothing will be done about it, every two weeks a new guy will come along and play his way, then another, then another..........

Enough already.

Hang around alittle longer when you have been here as long as I have you will see PLENTY of changes, especially if game play is effected detrimentally like base capture is now IMHO

"The Truce" I had on the Donut map, was the result of the BoP's giving jozepi a "Send off."    I told JamDive on 200 last night I had a photographic memory. 

It was FT (same thing basically), it took Knights/Rooks about 200 men and 4-5 hours to get them back, but we did.   

BoP's are good friends though and they haven't done it since.    :salute BoP's, ignore Junky Ranger.

I've been around the game long before I was in the forums, Played on and off for over 10 years. I highly doubt the base capture ability is going anywhere. Tweaked here and there maybe but here to stay.

Then you must remember when troops were dropped on the base not the town, there were no gv's, bombers only flew as a single, etc etc just too many changes to list.  I am sure if Hitech decided my idea was a good one he would put it in, so again I say never say never :D
