Title: starting GV in VH.
Post by: oakranger on May 15, 2009, 03:14:16 PM
As you tower out into a vehicle, can you set up that we can face exit out the front of the VH or face exit out the back of the VH.  Its kind of hard to kill any emy GV as they camp on the back of the VH and kill you right away before you even have a change to get a shot on them.
Or pick on of the VH that we can spawn out of.

LOL.  Yea for skillless GVer's.
But think about it. on a airstrip, you have 3 to 9 start points for A/C but only one for GV where they are easy to pick off.  Give the GV some ability to fight back if campers are on the field.

takes either skill or dumb enemies to get behind a hanger to camp. I hate campers like that BUT they earned that camp.

You know they're simply going to hide in the VH after this feature is added? :D

Perhaps this, "problem" could be fixed if another type spawn point were created.

Currently there's only one type of spawn type for vehicles which wouldn't allow for what you're asking. Let me try to explain how it works. When placing vehicle spawn points, only the initial (first) vehicle spawn point assigned to a base (Airfield, Vehicle Base, or Port) is set to spawn the tank in the assigned place every time (the exact spot where the spawn point is placed). Every other spawn point assigned to that same base will then be a, "random" spawn which spawns vehicles within a certain radius of the set spawn point. If, however, another type of spawn point were created or a new option be created which defines between always spawning a vehicle in the exact same assigned spot or spawning it in the random radius, this option could easily become available.

Yeaaa, i think i would like to keep my account instead of being band from AH.

Spikes, this is mostly on Vehicle bases that is the problem.

Yeah...I do wish they would implement which hanger you can up from or make it a random hanger.

search spawn camping/ vulching... scuzzy loves it  :aok as do other people...
its not that its skilless its stopping the enemy from advancing... its tieing up 1 or more people from making an effective attack on your positions.

Skill-less is kind of a strong word for talking about hanger camping.  Spawn camping would be an easier argument.  But if you think about it, it isn't exactly that easy to get to the Main pad VH at a v-base.  TO get there, requires a certain level of Skill, you might even say.

LOL.  Yea for skillless GVer's.

All the same, I do like the idea of being able to pick.

Step 1:  Up a T34-85 (its barrel swings very fast)
If camper is "angled off"
put it in "R" and creep forward when you up (moves you out of the angle off camper)
Once safely out of the line of fire.  Startup,  turn barrel to back, roll forward and kill him.

If camper is "dead six" (or variant)
Up...swing barrel...and kill him.   ( most times you will have barrel trained before his front end "sees" you)
if he gets you, up again IMMEDIATELY...he cant fire for a good 6-7 seconds.   Spin and kill.

The end.
