Where is the PT Boat Update!!!
-
Very Nice, Cant wait to fly it.
-
Very nice, here is hoping for the Mosquito next ;)

Looks amazing. Greebo, i can't really tell from the screenshots, but are you putting the strengthening bars on the tail? I can see a dotted line but they go vertical rather than horizontal like on the real Typhoon.

Looks like he did that, Furbie, but, to me, the screenshots look exactly like the picture you posted... the vertical black lines you're mistaking for the strengthening bars are, in fact, the spacing between them. Look carefully the shadowed area below the stabilizer in the second picture, you'll see the bars are horizontal (enlarging the picture will help).
-
Nice work of course, but I get nervous when you guys start messing with stuff. There are quite a few planes that just ain't the same anymore.
-
My bombers are in trouble now. That's all I'm gonna see swooping in from orbit. :lol

Cool, thanks :) I can't really see on the screenshots - i use an LCD TV as my computer monitor, maybe the res or brightness isn't high enough!

Usually because they find out they have something wrong on the original model - all the much better for realism :aok

You're welcome, bro. And buy a decent monitor! ;)
-
Let's hope they've sorted the autopilot out too. :aok
-
Bloody marvelous! (As the brits would say.)
-
Yes the fish plates are on there, they just don't show up clearly in the screenshots.

WTG, had a feeling you guys were up to something else on top of the terrain.
Where's the Beau? :lol
-
the tiffie used to be a beaufigther substitute a long time ago. :lol It's looking very pretty.
-
Nice... will be fun shooting those.
-
New lighting looks sweet! :aok
With the new terrain and lighting system I don't think it will be possible to complain about AH's graphics anymore.

:aok :rock

WTG HTC :aok
Gonna be fun chasing those around :t
-
Wow! That's gorgeous! Are those pics in-game or renders?

Cactus - In-game.

Looks AMAZING....just one small thing....
In THIS (http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/news/images/typhoon/typh2.jpg) picture, there's a little box underneath the "High" of Aces High II. The lettering on it appears to be upside-down.

Would they be doing the Temp at the same time as the Typhy? Wouldn't see a reason why not.

GOON NEXT!
GOON NEXT!
FIX THE GOON NEXT!
THAT THING IS FROM AHI!!!
I don't fly European planes that much, but it looks great! Good Job!

All of the un-updated planes are from AH. That's why they're being updated. :)
Personally I hope the Macchis are next.

cmon we all know its the mossie next :D

Great job HTC and Greebo! :)

Thats' the scr 522a vhf control box..I'll double check it - It might be mounted backwards. That's gonna suck...I guess I can do some drilling, reverse the mounting bracket and rewire the harness. Have it ready for a check out in a few hours. :D

People whined about AH2 not being realistic enough so they took them out

Dammit! That's not a Beaufighter!
Oh well, nice work anyway :)

imo... when they update the graphics and they update the flight model at the same time, if the flight model changes to the side of more "real deal" accuracy then I am all for it. I kept hearing about how the George was "nerfed" with some slight reductions in certain flight characteristics , but evidently it was made more accurate. I am all for that.
Someone made mention of a "true" Spit16... if they do I hope it gets what it has coming (an over-haul of it uber-ism).
Me? I hope to see a "true" Mossi FB Mk 6, and an improved P40x. :aok
-
hmmmmm ... were did I hide my 198sqd pictures ... I need to redo my texture :)

You are talking about AH subscribers correct?
HiTech

Sigh.
-
Not saying i don't admire the work that goes into it... but I couldn't give a damn about eye candy, those who are long time subscribers i suspect are mostly in agreement. Those too busy looking at the pretty landscape or shadows instead of what is on their 6 will just make it easier for us to shoot them down ;) :aok
-
So Furball, you'd be happy with flying just red and blue triangles over a flat green ground?

I still occasionally play the original red baron from around 1990, as long as i can make out aircraft types, i am pretty content.

I would say that you're very much part of a minority then, even among AH veterans. ;)
-
I agree with Furball, which now outnumbers DieHard 2:1. I couldn't care any less about "graphics." As long as I am able to play the game and be able to identify the things I need to then I am a happy camper :aok

Gangers! :lol

I'm all about gameplay, but I welcome more eye candy with open arms.

The airplane externals have always been about as good as "Il2" IF you crank them all the way up, and all the newer cockpits are also extremely good, without going so "realistic" as to make the instruments unreadable at normal zooms.
-
eye candy is nice, when the F6F was updated I got a renewed interest in the game

The newer AH2 aircraft are far better than anything I've ever gotten out of IL-2.

HiTech,
Now's the best time to introduce a Tempest variant with 150 grade fuel. :D ducks

And also with the 200 rounds per gun its supposed to have.
Early Tempest's Mk. V (Serie I) and the Tempest Mk. II prototypes had the 20 mm Mk. II Hispano cannons (identical to those fitted in Typhoon). The barrels extended 8 inches beyond the wing leading edge and they were mounted with short barrell fairings.
Tempest Mk. V Serie II's, production Mk. IIs and Mk. VIs were fitted with the new short-barrelled Hispano Mk. V cannons which were completely enclosed. (They were 10 in. shorter and 25 lbs lighter than Mk. II.)
Mk. V and VI had 200 rounds per gun, but Mk. II 162 inboard and 152 outboard
